3 tips to increase sales in your home business

Having the right mindset can make a big difference to increase sales in your home business, and today’s post I go over 3 tips you can use in your business.

The first aspect you want to focus on to increase sales and improve your closing ratio is having confidence

When you are talking to a prospect they are going to buy you more than anything else. If you aren’t confident in your products, or service, or business model you won’t close many sales.

You need to be confident when you ask closing questions. Often people make the mistake of using the wrong tonality when they ask a closing question and this leads people to question if they should get started with you or not.

When you ask a question with an upswing of tone it sounds like you are not sure of what you are asking and not confident in what you are promoting. Even if you are nervous because you are new, end in a down swing of tonality in your closing questions to show confidence.

Another aspect that can improve your closing ration and increase sales is being casual when you are selling

You don’t want to be overly pushy when you are asking closing questions and when you stay more casual it is actually more effective. A great question to ask after a presentation is what did you like best about what you saw?

Ask questions that can result in a positive answer and then follow up with a simple question of are you ready to get started? Another great way to be casual and ask for the close is to just make a statement after they said what they like best of “it sounds to me like you are ready to get started?”

The third tip on increasing your closing ratio and increasing sales is simply staying calm

One thing that sometimes happens when you are asking closing questions is objections from your prospect.  It is important to not make a big deal about getting objections. In reality if someone has objections it usually means they are interested but they just aren’t sure how to make it work in their situation.

Remaining calm will help you close more of these prospects when you get objections in the closing process. An easy way to do this is to simply acknowledge their objection first and then proceed with handling it.

For example if someone said they didn’t have the time, you could say I can definitely appreciate that and I’m sure if I was in your shoes I would feel the same way. What I’ve found over the years and especially with this business is that if you don’t have the time now you need this business more than anyone.

If your current path has you time broke continuing what you have been doing will only create more of that. I found that it wasn’t how much time I had when building this business it was how effective I was with my time. By sacrificing some time upfront I was able to leverage my time and work as a team and build a business that was making money with or without me and that finally freed up some time for me so I could get my life back.

Implementing these tips will help you make more sales and close more business, however the foundation to a successful business is inviting and without prospects to show it won’t matter how good a closer you are. I would realistically look at building a successful network marketing business as a 3-5 year project to build a successful 10k a month income. Sure, some will get there faster, but the majority of people will take at least 3 years to be able to make that happen.  This means you will need to do “COLD MARKET RECRUITING” in addition to Warm Market Recruiting, AND you will need a high volume lead generating system or you won’t make it very far.
