A Simple Network Marketing Funnel Template That Really Works

Are you sick of trying to convince your friends and family to join your network marketing business? It can be a good place to start for some, but for most people, that market dries up quickly. In this post, you’ll learn a simple network marketing funnel template that actually generates leads, sales, and new recruits. You’ll do this without having to beg your friends and family to join your business either.

Why network marketing companies tell you to start with friends and family

Most network marketing companies tell you to make your list of 200 people. Then you have to contact everyone you know about your amazing opportunity and products. Now don’t get me wrong, you should tell people you know about your business. However, you shouldn’t rely solely on them to create success in your business.

Your goal is simply to share it with them and if they like it and join great and if not, that’s great too. The reason network marketing companies tell you this strategy is because, with friends and family, there is a built-in know, like, and trust factor.

Friends and family will at least hear you out and often take a look at your products and network marketing business. Unfortunately, most people don’t have hundreds of people they have influence with. This means that they don’t build enough momentum from friends and family alone.

So while you will probably make a few sales with friends and family, you won’t be a top earner on that alone. You’ll start to develop your skills, but not many people build massive organizations through a warm market alone.

It can be done, and with techniques like “building through”, but it does lack leverage. Most people get sick of cold calling and approaching random people. Or feeling awkward approaching their friends and family.

Thankfully with the right network marketing funnel template and marketing strategies in place you can start to automate your network marketing recruiting.

Know your target market before you use this network marketing funnel template

If you really want to create a network marketing funnel that converts, you need to understand your target market first. Most people struggle in network marketing for a couple of reasons.

One reason is that they think their job is to convince people who aren’t interested in their business. The other is that they aren’t targeting the right people.

They just spam their business at anyone who breaths and hopes they sign up. Network marketing is a great business, and it can help you grow as an entrepreneur. It can help you develop your sales skills, but most companies don’t teach you marketing.

The best training I’ve found in a network marketing company at most teaches you effective warm market recruiting skills. Rarely, if ever, do they teach anything on building a network marketing business with online marketing.

The foundation of building a successful network marketing funnel is knowing your target market and their problems. If all you do is talk about the features of your business and not the benefits of what your business does, you’ll continue to struggle.

Promote benefits rather than features of your network marketing business or products

Again, as you talk to prospects you need to highlight what’s in it for them and the benefits. While it’s great to know, most people don’t care how long your network marketing company has been in business. Nor do they care about where the ingredients in your products come from.

People care about how your network marketing business is going to solve a problem in their life. As you learn more about your niche and target market find out what they want. Find out what their needs, goals, pain points, and common questions are.

With this information, you’ll be able to frame your network marketing business in a way that is appealing to your ideal customers. For example, if you promote a nutrition product, don’t just talk about how the product is manufactured. Don’t talk about the high standards of production, talk about what that means to them.

In this case, you might say something like, “Because of our high production standards, you can rest assured that the product you take are safe. Your health is the most important thing to us. With that in mind, we make sure the quality is high so you get the best results. After taking our products most people say they have the most energy they’ve had since high school.”

Create a lead magnet to use in conjunction with your network marketing funnel

Now that you have a good understanding of your target market, you are almost ready to put together your network marketing funnel template. Before that, you need to create a lead magnet.

If you aren’t familiar with a lead magnet, it’s something of value you give away for free. You do this in exchange for your prospect’s name, email, and/or phone number.

Why this is important is because if you are just sending people to your replicated network marketing website most people will never sign up.

They will visit and have some kind of objection or concern and won’t sign up. They may never even tell you and never return.

For that reason, you need to capture their information. That way you can remarket to them in the future and develop a relationship with them over time.

This will help you develop that know, like, and trust factor. Then when the timing is right, they join your network marketing business rather than someone else’s.

Your lead magnet should be something that is congruent with the end offer of your network marketing business or products.

I would not recommend using something just on making money. This likely will never get approved to run with paid ads in the future when it’s time to scale your business. It also often attracts the wrong kind of person. Someone looking to get rich quick vs an entrepreneur with a long-term vision for success.

How to create a network marketing funnel lead magnet for business builders

When you are creating your network marketing lead magnet you’ll need to decide if it will be for getting customers or business builders. I’d suggest creating one for each, as they often will have different needs, goals, problems, and questions.

Let’s start with a network marketing funnel to recruit business builders for your network marketing business. A great option is something based on improving social media engagement or generating leads.

Why? One of the most annoying network marketing objections to deal with is “it’s a pyramid scheme.” If you create a lead magnet focused on creating social media engagement or generating leads people likely already have business experience. Typically those people are more educated on how businesses work and won’t give you the “pyramid” objection.

That means you won’t get that objection as often. This is because they have either tried network marketing in the past or currently have a network marketing business but are struggling.

This can provide you leads of people that are motivated and understand network marketing. They just haven’t found the right network marketing company or leader to work with. (Hint hint, YOU and your network marketing business).

Certainly, don’t try and steal people away from a business they are happy with. But if they are already motivated, like network marketing, and open to something else, these people can be perfect recruits for your network marketing business.

How to create a network marketing funnel lead magnet for customers

As for customers, think about their pain points, goals, and common questions. For example, let’s say you promote a travel network marketing business.

What are some common issues with people that travel a lot or that want to travel? Likely things like paying too much, can’t afford the best luxury trips, or maybe that it’s too hard to find good trips.

With those things in mind, you could create a lead magnet that is something like, “Top 10 vacation destinations you can visit this year without spending over $1000.”

Think about what you are promoting on the back end and create something congruent. For example, if you sold a weight loss product, you might offer a lead magnet like, “A simple 14-day meal plan to lose 10 pounds without counting calories.”

That kind of guide would be beneficial plus when you offer your weight loss program on the back end it’s congruent. It is also something that you know leads that downloaded your guide on losing weight would already be prequalified and interested in.

Generating leads with a network marketing funnel lead magnet is half getting leads and half to prequalify your leads. That way when you do talk to them, they chances they sign up with you is much higher.

Set up an email autoresponder and email series to get signups on autopilot

The two foundation tools you’ll need to implement your network marketing funnel template is a sales funnel system and email autoresponder. As you generate network marketing leads from your lead magnet, you’ll need a way to automate your network marketing signup process.

As you get leads, you should develop a followup email series. This series should be about 5-7 emails long and they should be focused on adding additional value. After the value-based content, you also promoting your offer.

This means if it were more business-related the content should be focused on things like leadership skills, sales skills. It could also be on things like recruiting skills or building a network marketing business on social media.

On the call to action, promote your network marketing business. Tell people if they want even more hands-on training and your help building a business, to get check out your presentation. From there you can get on a call and with you to help them get set up.

If it’s a product-based sales funnel, simply educate them more on the benefits of your program. Share how your products will help them reach that goal faster.

Ok, now that you have the right foundation in place it’s time to walk through the network marketing funnel template blueprint that works for any network marketing business. The first page you’ll create is an opt-in page that gives away your lead magnet.

Check out the picture below of an opt-in page I use. This page is simply to explain what you are giving away and the benefits your offer will give to your leads. For example, below you’ll see when someone downloads the Ebook they can learn how to attract leads for their business.

When they click “YES, GIMME MY EBOOK” they are prompted to enter their name and email, which generates me a targeted lead.

The second page of your network marketing funnel template is a bridge page

The next part of your network marketing funnel template is a bridge page. This part of your network marketing funnel can be used to introduce yourself and share some of your story and to promote your business and why you got started.

For example, in my network marketing funnel I share why I got started in my business, what I was struggling with before I did, and what changed thanks to the business. I also share that it’s ok if the business isn’t for them, but on the next page, they will learn how to get the benefits they were looking for which was on the opt-in page.

When you share your story you are more relatable and it shows you are a real person. You’ve probably heard that facts tell and stories sell. It’s why you want to have a bridge page plus it starts to brand you and not just your network marketing business.

People join people and leaders, not just faceless companies. Check out what a bridge page looks like in the photo below.

The last piece of your network marketing sales funnel is the offer page

After your bridge page, you should put your offer page. This is the final page of your network marketing sales funnel and it is where you sell your business opportunity or your products.

This page is pretty simple, and all you have there is a video that goes through your network marketing business presentation or product presentation. Underneath that, you have a link that goes to the signup page for your products or network marketing business opportunity.

Again, not everyone will signup but since you have captured the lead’s information on the opt-in page you can actually follow up with them. This is when you will bring in the majority of your signups because people again know you are real, and it puts you in control of the selling process.

Some sales funnel systems even give you the ability to delay the appearance of the signup button until a certain amount of time has passed. I’d recommend doing this so people don’t see the price before they understand the value of your offer.

How to promote your network marketing funnel template with blogging

Now that you have your network marketing sales funnel set up, it’s time to start promoting it. One of the best ways to do that is through blogging.

Blogging is a powerful marketing strategy because you can create content once and then it continues to work for you 24/7 forever. This is called evergreen content.

The key to this, however, is to create value-based content. You can’t just create content that focuses on features of your product and business and expect it to pull in traffic.

Similar to how you developed your network marketing lead magnet, this is how you structure your blog content as well. Focus on content that helps your ideal customer solve their problems, reach their goals faster, or answers their common questions.

When you do that, then you simply talk about your lead magnet and drive traffic to your network marketing sales funnel. Each new piece of content is just another opportunity for people to discover your business organically and to become a network marketing lead.

Once you build up enough content you can even create an automated network marketing recruiting system.

Promote your network marketing sales funnel with video marketing an YouTube

Another evergreen platform you should utilize is YouTube. This is very similar to the content marketing you’ll do with blogging, but instead, you’ll turn that blog content into videos.

What’s powerful about video marketing is that it is one of the best ways to build rapport and trust with your audience. Most old school network marketing trainers always talk about the power of “belly to belly” marketing.

This is definitely true, unfortunately, there is no leverage with it. When you use video marketing as a marketing strategy for your network marketing business you’ll actually capitalize on the same benefits and have leverage.

You can create a video once and it can get hundreds or even thousands of views. Video marketing is the closest thing to being in person with someone, but you don’t actually have to be there.

You aren’t locked down to a specific time, and you can promote your network marketing business even while you sleep! Same idea as blogging in that you lead with value first, and then have a call to action at the end of the video to get the lead magnet you created earlier.

How to promote your network marketing funnel in Facebook groups

Facebook groups are another powerful way to market your network marketing sales funnel. There are so many groups on Facebook specifically geared towards home business owners and people interested in network marketing.

All you do once you join these groups is post questions centered around your ideal customer’s and business partner’s pain points. For example, you might post something like, “Just curious if you’ve tried starting a business but had no support or training?”

Post this in Facebook groups on a regular basis and you’ll start to get people commenting on it. Now likely if people say they haven’t had any training or support you can let them know you know a system that does.

Ask them if they would be open to checking it out, and then you can send them to your network marketing sales funnel if they are interested. You’ll generate the lead and have a new potential business builder.

Promoting your sales funnel with Facebook ads

After you’ve started to get some organic results marketing your sales funnel with the strategy above you’ll eventually want to scale your results faster. This is where running paid Facebook ads to promote your network marketing funnel comes into play.

Again, I can’t stress this enough, that if you go the route of promoting your network marketing business with Facebook ads, you CANNOT drive traffic to your business opportunity page or something positioned like it.

Facebook does not allow ads that promote MLM or network marketing directly. However, if you run ads to your value-based lead magnet it’s a different story. This actually works incredibly well, and you can simply offer your network marketing business on the backend.

Once they opt-in you can simply ask them about if they have a business already or if they want to start one. You can also mention if they are lacking training and support, people who work with you and your team get free coaching and training, and help to present and with closing.

If that’s something they are interested in you can share your business, if not, no worries they may join your business down the road. They might also buy other products and services of yours, so even if they don’t get started today you can still make money.
