How To Make An Extra $1000 A Month Fast In Affiliate Marketing

There are many ways to make money from home, but affiliate marketing is one of the easiest and effective ways to get started with a home business. At the same time, knowing where to start can be difficult. In this post, access a simple guide on how to make money with affiliate marketing for beginners.

1. Pick a niche/target market as the foundation of this affiliate marketing beginners guide

Starting an affiliate marketing business doesn’t have to be difficult when you follow the right process.  The first thing you want to start with to make money with affiliate marketing is to pick a niche and define your target market.

One reason a lot of people struggle with affiliate marketing is that they are trying to market to everyone instead of a specific niche. When you market to everyone, you really a market to no one. Marketing to everyone will cause you to continue to struggle to make money in affiliate marketing.

Understanding your target market is the foundation for success in all businesses, but especially affiliate marketing. There are many aspects you want to understand your niche and target market. As a foundation you want to know things like their pain points, needs, wants, and goals.

This is an important foundation for your affiliate marketing success because it will determine many aspects of your marketing strategy moving forward.  When you understand your niche, it will help you with the kind of content you create. It will also help you to know where you should market your content, as well as what to offer your audience.

So take some time as a foundation building a successful home business, to fully understand your target market, niche, and who you are trying to market to. This will help you not only generate leads, but also increase sales, and make money from home through affiliate marketing.

2. Find affiliate programs and congruent products offers

Now that you’ve decided on a niche and target market you are going to serve, the next step is to choose congruent affiliate marketing products to promote.  The key to this step is choosing things that are congruent.

One of the big reasons why people struggle with affiliate marketing and building a home business is that they are promoting offers and products that don’t actually serve their target market.

I’ll see people that struggle with sales and marketing do so because they think they need to convince people to buy something they don’t really need or want.  In reality, people that are successful in affiliate marketing and sales are simply promoting things to those that are interested and open to what they offer.

It’s much easier to find people that are interested and open to what you have when you’re promoting something congruent that solves their problems.

3. Get your website and sales funnel system set up

Then next step you want to do is set up your website and a sales funnel system.  A website is going to be your hub and where you’re going to put all of your future content and promotion materials.

Most people when they are just getting started in affiliate marketing aren’t a graphic designer and usually aren’t very tech-savvy.  This means a lot of the behind-the-scenes work to set up your website might be challenging when you’re getting started.

A great way to get around this issue is with a sales funnel system.  A sales funnel system will have built-in and set up templates you can choose from to create simple web pages.

Just because the web pages are simplistic doesn’t mean you can’t generate a lot of business through them.  A sales funnel system is a very low-cost way to generate quality leads and sales through affiliate marketing.

Another reason why a website and sales funnel system is important is that you own it

Typically with affiliate marketing products, you will either have a duplicated sales funnel or in many cases, you might only have an affiliate link to a sales page.

Certainly, this is a great resource to have for promoting affiliate products, but if you only have a sales page you are missing out on the best marketing strategies. By only using the same sales page hundreds, if not thousands of other affiliates are promoting,  you aren’t really doing anything to separate you from anyone else.

People like to buy from people, and people like to work with leaders. In most cases, no matter what you’re promoting, having a website or sales funnel that is branded to you or your business will be much more effective.

As you grow your brand, and content marketing strategy, a sales funnel there something that you own.  Marketing your affiliate products through social media is one effective strategy, however you don’t own those platforms.

Having your own website is crucial for the long-term success and growth of an affiliate marketing business.  Plus if you want to implement making money with affiliate marketing by blogging, you also want to have your own website.

4. Set up an email list and email autoresponder

Another essential tool for promoting your affiliate marketing business is an email autoresponder.  This is the next step and thing you should set up to make money with affiliate marketing.

One thing to understand while promoting affiliate products, or really selling anything, is that most people don’t buy the very first time they hit a sales page or hear about your product.

There will be a small percentage of people who do get started and buy right away, but that is not the norm. Typically people will need multiple exposures of the affiliate marketing products you sell before they buy.

Something else to consider is that most people tend to do business with those that they know, like, and trust.  In most cases, as you’re promoting your affiliate products you will be targeting cold traffic. Basically people that don’t have a relationship with you yet.

Building an email list is one way that you can develop this know, like, and trust factor with your cold traffic.  On top of that, most people that visit your sales page or site that don’t buy typically don’t come back to the site again.

5. Develop congruent lead magnet offers

The next step of making money with affiliate marketing is to develop a congruent lead magnet for your niche.  A lead magnet is something of value you give away in exchange for your target market’s name, email, and phone number.

The key to successfully generating leads for your affiliate marketing business is to give away something that solves your target market’s needs, wants, or pain points.  There are many examples of this that can work well for your business.

This is why it’s important to understand your niche, and target market before you start promoting affiliate marketing products.  Typically I found that avoiding pain is one of the best ways to create a lead magnet for your niche.

For example, if you or a real estate agent trying to generate real estate leads, and ideal target market is probably someone looking to buy their first home. A lead magnet that would work well for this niche would be an ebook on 10 things you need to know before you buy your first home.

There’s an extremely high probability that if someone downloads an ebook on tips for buying your first home, they’re probably in the market to buy their first home. As a real estate agent, your chances of selling a home to someone actually wants to buy their first home is much higher than trying to sell to random people.

This is why the concept of having a congruent lead magnet is one of the best ways to make money with affiliate marketing.  After someone downloads your lead magnet you simply offer an affiliate product from there. This will greatly increase your conversion rate, and help you sell more in affiliate marketing.

6. Build your audience

Now that you have the foundation tools of a website, sales funnel, email autoresponder, and lead magnet, you want to start building an audience on social media and developing your email list.

The money is in the list. It’s a list of people you can promote your content and business to. The bigger your list, the more money you’ll make through affiliate marketing.  I know when I first got started in affiliate marketing I struggled for a while because I wasn’t focused on building an audience.

Your success in making money online is to focus on 3 foundation steps.  The three steps are building an audience, engaging the audience, and then finally selling to an audience.

Building the audience is the key foundation because if you don’t have anyone to share your content and business with, you will never make any sales. No sales mean you don’t make any money in your business. This is why building an audience is so important.

I look at it as the old saying of, “if a tree falls in the woods, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” Well, when it comes to affiliate marketing if no one’s around to hear about your business and offers you won’t make any money.

7. Create content to engage your audience

As you’re building your audience you also want to be creating content that engages your audience.  People do business with those that they know, like, and trust. By creating engagement with the audience you are building, is how you develop that relationship.

Again you want to make content that serves your niche and helps them solve their problems. Focus on content that answers common questions, or that helps them reach their goals faster. Alongside this you can offer your lead magnets and affiliate products for sale.

When you create content you should follow the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time you should be simply providing value and serving your audience.  20% of the time you should be promoting your affiliate offers.

There are many ways to create content things like blog posts, Instagram pictures, tweets, and even video marketing. I recommend using video marketing regardless of what marketing strategy you choose to focus on.

Video marketing is one of the best ways to build trust and rapport with your audience. It is a very powerful way to make money through affiliate marketing.

Integrating video into your sales pages and throughout your content to engage your audience more effectively.  Content is King and it should be a major focus of your marketing strategy.

8. Promote offers and sell to your audience

The final step is to sell and promote your affiliate offers.  As I mentioned earlier, the most effective way to do this and to make money with affiliate marketing is to build your audience, engage your audience, and then finally sell to your audience.

One reason a lot of people struggle with affiliate marketing is that they try and focus on only selling. All they do is focus on promoting their affiliate offers and neglect to build their audience or engage their audience.

You might get a sign up, or sale, here and there, by only sharing links and promoting affiliate offers,  but without building an audience and engaging your audience, you end up leaving a lot of money on the table.

Only selling actually pushes most people away from you rather than attracting them to you. This means the likelihood of someone leaving your site and not buying what you sell is very high.  You need to focus on all 3 foundations of building, engaging, and selling to increase the income you make through affiliate marketing.

The process of setting up this kind of lead generation system and making money with affiliate marketing is simple.  However, it isn’t quickly explained through just one blog post.
