Do you embrace the struggle?

Unfortunately many people think that building their home business should be free of challenges, nothing great was achieved with ease, and you need to embrace the struggle while you are building your business.

Do you embrace the struggle, mindset, success, goals, leadership, leadership development

There is no testimony without a test

Taking personal responsibility for your own results is something you’ll have to do if you want to become a top earner in your business.

Sometimes people see top leaders or other people having success and they automatically assume that they somehow had it easy.

I can assure you that was not the case. Almost everyone thinks that their problems and challenges somehow makes them special.

Sure, your situation might be slightly unique compared to someone else, however, you should never assume that people succeeding at a higher level don’t have problems, or that they didn’t have to overcome hardships to get to where they are at.

Everyone, and I mean Everyone has struggles and challenges while they are building their business. One thing I hear all the time is something like “well you don’t know my situation.” or “that might work for them, but my friends are different.” or “Well you just don’t understand what it’s like for me.” and on and on.

Anyone who is successful made the decision to succeed in spite of their challenges, and they didn’t let their limiting beliefs define them.

If you focus on your limiting beliefs you get to keep them

Have you ever said something like, “I’m to busy to make this work.” or “Well this is working for them, but not me.” or “If I had extra money I’d go to training.” or “If my network was more supportive I could be successful too.”

Here’s the thing about limiting beliefs, in most cases they aren’t actually true, but they will always sound logical. That’s where the difficulty comes in.

Your belief that you’re busy so you can’t build a successful business probably sounds logical, but in most cases there are people who had less time than you to build their business, but they are making it happen, while you are busy complaining.

When it comes to your limiting beliefs, ask yourself if you are complaining or bragging. All too often I find people who don’t have the results they want in life, but they focus all their energy on their limiting beliefs.

For example I used to be really shy and scared to talk to people. I could have continued to focus on that limiting belief and tout that I was shy and that’s why I wasn’t succeeding and wear that belief as a badge of honor, or I could choose that regardless if I was shy or not, I was going to succeed.

You can use your limiting beliefs as a reason why you are failing, or you can accept that is where you are at for now, and then decide to move forward from there. You need to take personal responsibility for your results if you want to win at a high level.

I’ll hear people say things like “I’m not good with technology or computers.” when it comes to building their business online. It’s like they think I’m going to respond with something like, “Oh well that’s OK then why you are failing in your business, you aren’t good with computers! Duh, I guess I should have known. Of course you can never be successful now.”

Heaven forbid you had to learn a new skill set or do something you’re not currently doing to get better results. You most likely are going to have to get out of your comfort zone and do different things and learn different skills if you want what top earners or people succeeding have.

It might not be what you want to hear, but it’s what you need to hear. Some leaders are certainly naturally talented when it comes to things you need to get good at to succeed in your business, however those same skills can also all be learned. You don’t need to have talent to acquire those skills, you just need to put in the effort to learn them.

When you let your problems and challenges define you, you will never become all that you can be. Let your problems and challenges become an inspiration for others after you succeed, to show them that if you can do it so can they.

How to promote home business effectively: Should you use online advertising?

A common question many home business owners struggle with is how to promote home business effectively and should they use online advertising.

How to promote home business effectively- Should you use online advertising, online advertising, home business advertising, how to advertise your home business, how to advertise my home business, how to promote my home business, how to promote your home business

A right way how to promote home business and a wrong way

Unfortunately, most home business owners tend to promote their home business the wrong way and because of that end up wasting a lot of money on online advertising. Now a great lesson I learned along the way was that an advertising dollar is never “wasted” because you learn what does and what doesn’t work.

Of course if you are promoting your business online in the right format you will save yourself a lot of money by not investing in online advertising that for sure won’t work. A lot of people spend advertising or promote in general directly to their products, services, or opportunity.

In almost all cases this doesn’t work, or only gets mediocre results. The best way to promote your business is by providing value that your target market wants. An effective way how to promote home business is to create content that helps your target market with their problems.

For example if you market weight loss products, don’t just spam your before and after pictures online. Sure you may get a customer here and there, but you will also turn off a lot of potential customers.

How you can promote your business more effectively and scale it with online advertising

A better way to promote your business is to lead with value. You can still use that before and after picture, but instead of just sharing it and then having the content basically just be “buy my stuff” related, instead offer value along side of that product.

For example you could share that before and after photo, and then offer a free diet plan guide, or video on healthy eating tips, etc., and then in exchange for that video or offer you ask for a name, email, and phone number.

When you do this you can start getting very highly targeted leads for your business and then you can reach out to them about joining your business or getting your products.

A slight tweak of just creating value first, and then leading into what you have to offer can go a long way in helping you build a successful business. Once you have a converting offer, then you can start to scale your business with online advertising to promote that content from there.

If you forget where you came from, you’re on your way back

Often people are striving to build a successful business, but they neglect the leadership development end of things, and even if they start to achieve success they will quickly be on their way back.If you forget where you came from, you're on your way back, goals, success, business, home business, leadership, leadership development

Leadership development tip: You’re business will only grow to the point that you do

Staying plugged in and continually working on yourself is essential to building a large business. Of course you shouldn’t only spend your time on personal development, you still need to do income producing activities if you want to be successful.

The key is maintaining a balance of personal growth along with action. Unfortunately, sometimes people might get initial success out of the gates when they are building their business, but then they take their foot off the gas or then start to become unteachable.

As the old saying goes, the worst part of success is a little bit. When you reach some success quickly but then think that who you are now will take you to the top you are setting yourself up for a plateau.

What to do when you hit a plateau in your business

Plateaus are a normal part of building a business, at the same time there isn’t really a situation where your business will sit at a complete standstill. In most cases your business is either going forwards or backwards.

Most people say they are in a plateau, but in most cases they are really going backward. If you feel like you are in a plateau it’s essential to keep taking action and moving forward, but equally important is personal development.

Another great phrase I heard a long time ago is that you don’t just become a top earner in your company you have to become a top earner. In most cases you are going to need to develop new skills and develop as a leader if you want to make the kind of income a top earner makes, or succeed at that level.

This is why you see some people just shoot up through the ranks very quickly and reach the top fast. It’s because they were already the person they needed to be to succeed at that level when they started in the business.

Would you even be ready for the success you wish you were having now?

Another thing you might want to ask yourself if you are struggling is would you really be ready for the success you wish you were having? If the answer is no, that’s probably a good indication of why you aren’t at the level you wish you were.

I’ve run into people who are complaining about not having signed anyone up or that they don’t have any of their new team members hitting new levels or even taking action, well maybe you should take a look at the skills and actions required to make that happen.

If you wouldn’t be able to perform the tasks required to make that a reality, how could you expect that to be happening?

For example let’s say you were complaining that you hadn’t signed anyone up yet in your business. Do you know what questions to ask after the presentation?

How about do you know how to set up a 3 way call with an expert after a presentation?

Do you know the process to walk someone through to actually sign them up?

Do you have applications for someone to fill out after they say yes to joining your business?

If you answered no to any of those questions, that’s probably one of the reasons you aren’t signing people up.

You can’t expect to succeed at a high level if you aren’t prepared for it and you shouldn’t expect to have a huge team if you aren’t ready to lead them.

Of course part of building your business is learning while you earn and grow, but if you are stuck at a certain level or frustrated, it might be a good time to look in the mirror.

You can be successful and you can win big, all the skills are learn-able, you just need to learn them and back them up with action.

You need to either choose your fear or your desire to succeed

Whenever you are striving to be better and reach some sort of goal, you will always have two choices, you can either choose your fears keeping you from your goal or taking action and following through on your desire to succeed.

You need to either choose your fear or your desire to succeed, fear, fear vs desire, fear or desire, desire to succeed

Are you going to let your fear and possible what ifs keep you from success?

We’ve all been there before, wanting to do better or be better and then the negative what ifs start to creep in. I wish I could tell you that the more success you achieve that those what ifs go away, but they don’t.

Everyone faces what ifs and fear when they have goals they are striving for, however, the thing that separates those that succeed and those that don’t is the ones who succeed don’t let their what ifs and fears keep them from taking action.

Almost always your what ifs never even happen. When we constantly worry about what ifs and what we fear we are most often suffering for nothing.

Think about almost any goal you want to realize and then think about all the fears that are keeping you from those goals. Giving into your fears will never allow you to reach your goals.

Giving into your what ifs and fears almost always results in the worst case scenario anyway

Almost always when you are thinking about your fears rather than your desire to succeed and decide to not take action, the results are usually the same if you took action and your fear happened anyway.

Think about building your business for example. Your general end goal in most cases would be for your business to grow correct? Either a new sale, new team member, or some type of growth is your desired result.

Now let’s take a common fear such as the fear of rejection. You share your presentation and you are fearful that someone may say no, so instead of having to go through that you don’t even show someone.

Giving into your fear like this and not sharing your business will result in your business not growing, and in this case that’s the exact same “worse case scenario” result you were afraid of would happen if they said no.

Therefore not taking action and letting your what if fear be stronger than your desire to succeed 100% guaranteed the result you were trying to avoid to begin with, your business not growing.

It’s far better to take action and have the slim possibility that your what if fear happens, especially since in most cases you’re no worse off than you are not taking action.

This creates a scenario where going past your fear almost always guarantees a better result than where you are now, even if you fail. On top of that it also increases your confidence because you know you took action in spite of your fear.

Leaders feel the fear and do it anyway

A lot of people think that once you are successful or have a growing team that you no longer feel fear of rejection or fear of inviting, etc, however that’s not the case. It doesn’t matter how successful you get, you’ll still feel fear around the steps it takes to win in your business, but leaders just take action anyway.

I’ve invited thousands of people over the years to look at my business and products, but I still to this day get little hits of fear that creep in from time to time. The thing that separates the successful from unsuccessful is that the successful people push send or call the person anyway.

It does get a little easier as you do it, but for the most part that’s because your desire to win is greater than your fear keeping you average. You can either buy into your fears and stay exactly where you are at and continue to struggle, or act in spite of those fears and become the leader you know you can be.

Are you holding your team back by coddling them?

We all want out team members to grow and develop as fast as possible, but sometimes people make the mistake of coddling their team and end up holding them back. Are you holding your team back?

Are you holding your team back by coddling them, team building, teambuilding, leadership, leadership development, network marketing, network marketing tips, network marketing training,

Your goal should be to make yourself insignificant to the growth of your team

The last thing you want to create is a team that is dependent on you to succeed. Unfortunately, a lot of people create this dependent relationship between them and their team.

When you create a dependent relationship with you and your team, you are basically creating a second job for yourself. Sure you might be able to make great money, but you will still be working just as hard or harder than you do at your job.

The more you get into management mode and try and control and coddle your team, the longer it will take for them to step up and become the leaders they can really be.

Of course you want people to plug into a system that works, but you should be focused on them becoming independent and effective on their own as quickly as possible.

Introduce your team to as many leaders as possible

One this to keep in mind is that in most cases you can’t be everything to everyone. Not everyone in your team will relate to you or necessarily resonate with you.

When someone is new it’s a great idea to introduce them to as many other leaders as possible. For one this can help them understand the bigger picture and that it’s not just you and them, but it also helps them plug into the system and not just be dependent on you.

This is especially important if you are new as well. If you are new and just growing your team, why would you want your team members to only plug into and learn from you?

Wouldn’t you rather have your team members learn from the best and even do better than you? When you introduce your team to many leaders and plug into the system, rather than coddling them, they can grow at their own pace.

In network marketing you are compensated on the growth of your team, so introducing someone and having them be better than you is a good thing. Especially since you will override a percentage of the whole organization they create.

Don’t let your team’s leadership lid be set at your leadership lid. The more your team can grow and develop into leaders themselves the faster your business will grow.

Avoid your ego getting in the way and let your team develop into the leaders they can be.
