Are You Congruent With What You Represent In Your Business?

If you aren’t being a product of the product and if you aren’t congruent with what you represent as a business it could be costing you a lot of revenue.

Are You Congruent With What You Represent In Your Business, product of the product, are you a product of the product, sales tips, sales training

Being a product of the product not only makes sense but it gives you credibility

Unfortunately I run into a lot people marketing their businesses that aren’t very congruent with what they are marketing and it eliminates almost all credibility they have.

People do business with people who they know, like, and trust, and those that are credible and know what they are talking about. This means that if you are promoting something you should probably have some sort of results or at least be using your products or services.

Obviously you have to start somewhere but you shouldn’t be positioning yourself as something you aren’t. When you do this you come off as a spammer and unauthentic.

Why being a product of the product matters on social media…

For example I run into a lot of people who claim to be social media experts and they help people build a huge following, but then I look at their profile and they have 12 followers.

Another thing that happens is sometimes people say that they are doing awesome and getting thousands of followers and leads through their accounts and that you would be stupid for not using their strategies or system etc. but then I look at their profile and I see that I have 35,000 more followers then them and they have about 100 followers. Something just isn’t adding up lol

Again it’s fine if you are just getting started and don’t have many followers, but you really want position yourself as someone there to help people and that provides value and not as a guru immediately.

Something like “you help people build a successful business through social media.” or say something like “here is a free marketing training for twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook etc. you can use to build your business”.

Another option might be to tell them to connect with you on a different platform to build your audience elsewhere so you can begin to have a following on the platform you want to excel at.

You don’t have to be the expert to start generating leads and promoting your business or have phenomenal results to market your products

For example you could say something like, “Hey thanks for following me, I appreciate it, as a thank you here is a free marketing training where my buddy Joe goes through 6 tips to increase your twitter following.”

When you use 3rd party sources as the expert it can really help you start to build your list and following even if you are new.

However this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t walk your talk. I also run into a lot of people who don’t walk their talk and aren’t a product of their product and it definitely is hurting their business.

For example they might market a weight loss products, but they aren’t exactly in shape or anywhere near it. Again not to say that you have to be thin to start marketing weight loss products.

You might just be getting started and are in the process of getting great results, however I’ve know people who have been promoting weight loss programs for years and who have been continuing to struggle with their weight for years as well.

This doesn’t portray your products in the best light, nor does it come across that your products even work. Needless to say they aren’t very successful at marketing those products.

So if you are just starting to get results with the weight loss products for example, share other people’s stories when you are new, but make sure you start to get some results soon or you will quickly start to lose all credibility in what you are marketing.

It would be like me selling Chevy cars and telling you that they are the best in the world, but then you see me drive off the lot in a Ford. Probably not likely that you would believe anything I said about Chevy cars at that point moving forward.

Are You Even Giving Yourself A Chance To Succeed In Your Online Business?

Do you even give yourself a chance to win when you are building your online business, or do you quit at the first sign of difficulty?

Are You Even Giving Yourself A Chance To Succeed In Your Online Business-

Don’t quit before your breakthrough while building your online business

Unfortunately a lot of people have a lottery ticket mentality and don’t make the decision to become a professional when they are building their online business.

Success takes time and a commitment to learn the skill sets necessary to win. If becoming a top earner in your online business was easy, everyone would do it and everyone who started would be a 6 figure earner in a few months.

In reality this is not how it works. An important question to ask yourself is would it be worth it to take the time to learn the skills I need to win?

You are willing to invest in other things with no promise of return but when it’s for your business do you freak out?

I’ve heard this from people I’ve worked with before “I can’t keep doing this online business thing, I’m spending all this money and not making anything yet.”

Let’s break this down real quick and put it into perspective. Their “a lot of money” broke down to about $500 spread over a few months time. Maybe my college was weird but I remember spending $700-$800 a semester on books alone and thousands more just to go to class.

Now after spending that much my first semester in college, would it be weird to freak out 30 days into it and say that I barely knew anything about my major at that point and I hadn’t made any money in my chosen field yet and that I should probably quit because I was spending too much money on this whole school thing?

Well in that case it would be perfectly reasonable that I hadn’t become a professional in my chosen field yet and that I hadn’t made any money because I was still in the learning process. Also that it was something I would need to go through before even having the chance to make money in my field.

Treat your online business as an earn while you learn process

The last thing you want to do is put a timeline on your success. The great thing about building an online business is that you can actually earn while you learn, rather than in school where you have to pay to learn and then hopefully get a job with your degree to start earning.

Not that school is right or wrong, but I’m just pointing out that there isn’t a way to profit with your knowledge you’re learning in school until after you are done and someone hires you.

Most people however, understand that college and getting an education is a process and don’t bat an eye at it or question it, but to go through the same type of process in their own business some how becomes unacceptable.

It’s time to wake up and realize that you can be successful in your online business, but it might take some time to get through your learning curve. However the big difference is that you can start implementing what you are learning immediately and start to create a profit for yourself in your online business, rather than waiting years to start generating income like through college.

Give yourself a chance to win and stop setting ridiculous timelines on your success like 30 days to be making a profit. How long have you been doing what you have up till now and not gotten the results you want, lifestyle you crave, or freedom you want?

If what you have been doing in your business hasn’t been working for years, how do you expect to magically learn a different skill set that can work in under 30 days. How long does the average traditional business take to turn a profit? 5 years? 10 Years?

Stop looking for overnight shortcuts and respect the process. With consistent improvement and action you can set yourself up for a lifetime in your online business, if you don’t give into your fear before it can happen.

Would You Follow You?

Do you ever feel frustrated with your current results in your business and don’t seem to be experiencing the growth you want? If so a great question to ask yourself is would you follow you.

Would You Follow You, leadership, leadership development, leadership development coaching,

The speed of the leader determines the speed of the pack

If you aren’t where you want to be in your business the first thing to ask yourself is would you follow you. If the answer is no, this doesn’t mean that you can’t be successful, but it does mean that you might need to take a good look in the mirror and change what you are doing.

Are you the leader people are looking for and want to work with? Like the quote above says, the speed of the leader determines the speed of the pack. If you aren’t showing anyone your presentation, prospecting any new potential customers or team members, why do you think your new team members would either.

Network marketing is first and foremost a lead by example business, your main job as the leader is to prove that the system works. If you aren’t ever bringing in new business and team members to your organization how would anyone in your team think they could do it either?

How do you improve your leadership?

A key concept to focus on is that your business will only grow to the point that you do. So if you aren’t improving yourself and getting better your business probably won’t either.

A lot of the time people either ignore this part completely or they are on the other end of the spectrum and this is all that they do in their business. You need to have a combo of both personal development and action.

If all you do is just work on your skills, read books, go to training, and just become a professional meeting attender, nothing happens in your business. Massive action creates massive results, but develop your skills along side of that to get better results with your action.

The best way I’ve found over the years to dramatically increase my leadership and skills in the shortest amount of time has been by attending events. Attending events can drastically reduce your learning curve when it comes to leadership development and learning skill sets.

Instead of learning through trial and error or through the grapevine or bits and pieces through videos and audio training, events completely immerse you in the environment and surround yourself with other top earners in the business. This can dramatically increase your belief and skills in a rather short amount of time.

In addition to going yourself to event, you also want to make sure your team goes as well. Would you rather your team had to learn everything from you one on one or would you rather they learned from the top leaders in the industry all at once? Of course you would want the leveraged option of going to events.

Grow yourself and consistently take action towards your goals and your business will start to take off!

Are You Bigger Than Your Problems?

Do you feel you can’t reach your goals, build your business, or take the action steps necessary to win, if you do ,you need to ask yourself are you bigger than your problems?

Are You Bigger Than Your Problems- (1)

I don’t care how successful you get you still have problems

If you think once you are successful or start to get results in your business you won’t have problems, I’m sorry to tell you, but you are in for a rude awakening. If anything you actually have more problems the more successful you become.

As your business and team grows your problems will increase, but the good thing is they will be different kinds of problems. A lot of you are dying to have the problems million dollar earners do in their businesses.

Like how do you prioritize your time with your team members, how are you going to pay the higher taxes, how can you help your new leaders reach their goals, the list goes on and on.

Just because you aren’t struggling financially, doesn’t mean you won’t have a new set of problems as you grow into a better leader.

The question really becomes are you going to decide to be bigger than your current problems or are you just going to settle for a mediocre life.

I hate when people assume that when you have created results that you some how got there easy

Here’s the thing, everyone had problems and obstacles getting to the point of success they are at now. Just because they didn’t have the exact same problems and obstacles you have, doesn’t mean you can’t be successful or they some how had it easy.

It doesn’t matter what your goals are or what you are trying to achieve you will have challenges to overcome. In my case when I started in the home business industry I was incredibly shy and introverted.

At this point I had the choice to cower back and be smaller than my problems and tell everyone that I couldn’t be successful or I didn’t deserve to be successful because I was introverted and shy…Or I could choose that I would be bigger than my problems and develop that skill and work on myself until I wasn’t getting success because I was shy and introverted.

I used to be an introverted video game nerd when I started, now I’m just a video game nerd. :p

You get to choose whether you are bigger than your problems. Again most of you probably aren’t shy or introverted like I was, but you probably have some other challenges you will face in your journey.

The thing that separates leaders from the people who create big success and reach their dreams is that leaders choose to accept that whatever challenges they face in the beginning, is just a place to come from, and not a place they are going to stay.

I know you can be successful and reach your dreams and build the business you want, it just takes time, action, and the decision to be bigger than your current problems.

Everyone has tests while they are growing and developing as a leader and striving for their goals. However, it’s your choice to decide whether it is going to remain a test you fail and can’t pass, or if it will become your testimony that inspires thousands to their greatness in the future.

How To Increase Sales By Using Educational Selling

A lot of people struggle with sales and they come off as being a pushy salesman, but one of the best ways to avoid this and how to increase sales is through educational selling.

How To Increase Sales By Using Educational Selling, educational selling, how to increase sales, increase sales, increasing sales,

Why Educational Selling Is A Great Strategy On How To Increase Sales

All too often people give the impression of being a pushy salesman because they focus only on the features of the products they are promoting and never touch on the benefits their prospects will receive and what’s in it for them.

When your primary focus is on how great and amazing your products you have are, rather than putting your prospects needs and wants first it will cost you sales. This is where educational selling comes in as an effective way how to increase sales.

Leading with educational selling does a few things. One it can help to position you as an expert in your field. People want to do business with people who know what they are doing.

Imagine you were looking to hire a doctor for a specific surgery you needed to have done that was a life or death scenario. You had two doctors to choose from.

Would you pick the doctor who barely passed medical school, never studied, and didn’t have much experience performing that surgery, or would you hire the doctor who went to every class, studied hard, graduated top of their class, and had successfully performed that surgery several times?

Obviously you would choose the higher performing doctor that was an expert to do your life or death surgery. Of course the stakes aren’t as high when you are selling, but it’s the same concept as why you should lead with educational selling if you want to increase sales in your business.

People want to work with an expert who knows what they are doing.

Educational selling can increase sales because you are focused on your prospects needs and wants not your own

As stated above when you focus on features of your products and services you will sell less than when you are focused on showing your potential customer how what you are selling will specifically benefit them.

Let’s say you marketed nutritional supplements for example. Instead of talking about your product has xyz ingredient, and 3 exclusive patents and mystery berries from the amazon jungle, focus on how that product helps your prospect.

For example you might use educational selling to explain how xyz ingredient your product has, boosts metabolism, and what that means to your prospect is that they are going to be able to loose those extra 15 pounds and look amazing for their upcoming 25 year high school reunion.

Let’s say you marketed a internet marketing service where you helped people set up a website and capture pages and tools to build a business online. You could go through a process of simply talking about those features, which would be good, but if you wanted to be great, you should focus on educational selling.

This would increase sales because instead of just explaining features you could break down step by step how someone could use those features specifically for their business. Educating them on how to make it work for them and get what they wanted out of it.

This is a great way how to increase sales because you are leading with what’s in it for them, rather than just talking about how awesome the features of your products are.

Overall, focusing on educational selling will help you be less pushy and increase sales because you are positioning yourself as an expert and as a credible source, as well as focusing on your prospects needs and wants and not your own.
