Closing Training – Tonality plays a large role in your network marketing closing ratio

I remember when I was new in network marketing and I was afraid to ask for the sale and I struggled with network marketing closing. Another part that lowered my closing ratio was that when I would ask for the sale my tonality was all off because I was scared to do it. One mistake that people commonly make is that they end questions in an upswing with their tonality and that makes them sound unsure of what they are asking and shows a lack of confidence. When you are asking closing questions you should be ending in a down swing with your tonality so it sounds like a statement and this shows confidence. People want to work with someone who knows where they are going and if you sound unsure of yourself you will drive people away from working with you.

Another place most people struggle with having the right tonality is with inviting in network marketing and having people taking a look at your business. Often this comes from the fear of saying the wrong thing or not knowing how to answer potential questions that your prospect may ask you. Beyond having a good tonality when inviting I’ve found that it’s far easier to invite with a text message or Facebook message because you don’t have to worry about how you sound and it is easier to control the conversation as well. The only downside to this is that people can’t hear your enthusiasm and excitement but at the same time you have less of a chance to screw up the invite. If you do choose to invite in person or over the phone the same principle applies that you should be ending in down swings with your closing questions and not an up swing if you want to show confidence and get the best results.
