Crush Facebook Advertising For Small Business On $10 Per Day

Facebook advertising for small business doesn’t have to cost you a fortune when you do it right. The reality is you can start to get leads, and sales, with a budget as low as $10 per day. Then as your Facebook ads for your small business start to convert and bring in income, you can scale your Facebook advertising budget from there. In this post, you’ll learn simple strategies to run Facebook advertising for small businesses that get results for as little as $10 per day.

Before you start running Facebook advertising for small business define your ideal customer

The first thing you want to do before starting Facebook advertising for your small business is to fully understand your ideal customers. Without this knowledge, your targeting, ad copy, and your offer could completely miss the mark.

If any of these factors are wrong you will burn through your Facebook advertising budget faster than you should. On top of that, your results won’t be what you are expecting either.

When you are doing research on your target customer you’ll want to know things about them like what are their hobbies, interests, problems, goals, and common questions in relation to your business.

You can come up with an ideal customer avatar and use that as a basis for your small business Facebook ads. As we build out the $10 per day Facebook ads strategy later in this post you’ll further refine that audience. We’ll do this based on their interaction with your ads and content and improve your targeting.

Create a lead magnet to promote in your small business Facebook ads

Now that you have an understanding of your ideal customers for your small business, you’ll need to create a lead magnet. A lead magnet is something that you give away for free in exchange for your website visitor’s name, email, and phone number.

The basis of this is to create a lead magnet offer that is something that solves a problem for your ideal customers but that is also congruent with the products and services you sell.

For example, if you were a real estate agent a common problem or question they may have is what credit score do they need to qualify for a loan. You could create a lead magnet that answers that question and perhaps also gives them advice on improving their credit to that score so they can qualify for that loan.

In this situation, if you helped someone get one step closer to buying a home, and you sold homes, people who download that lead magnet are highly qualified for your offers. If you run Facebook ads for real estate, this could be a perfect way to get leads and new potential clients.

Regardless of your small business, having a lead magnet is essential as it gives you a way to capture your site visitor’s information. Not everyone who visits your site for the first time will buy, so it makes sense to have a way to get their information to follow up with them and to remarket to them in the future.

Offering a congruent lead magnet as the offer in your Facebook advertising for your small business can help you generate targeted leads at a very low investment. In the picture below you’ll see two Facebook ads that give away lead magnets as the offers and they have generated over 700 leads.

Tools you need in place to optimize your Facebook advertising

Before you start running Facebook ads for your small business, you’ll want a few tools in place to optimize your results. These tools consist of a sales funnel system and email autoresponder.

A sales funnel system will allow you to promote the lead magnet you created above and then start to automate some sales. In addition to that, the sales funnel system will automatically link to your email autoresponder which you can send an email series to your new leads.

This email series will provide value and position your small business as a credible resource and will also sell your products on the back end. Check out the video below that further explains this process. This post also will help you with a Simple Sales Funnel Template That Converts For Any Business.

How much to spend on Facebook ads for your small business to actually get results

Now you are probably wondering how much to spend on Facebook ads for your small business to see meaningful results. Well, the great thing about Facebook ads for small business is that you can use as much or little as you want and get results.

Ideally, you’ll want to spend at a minimum $150 per month to get some decent traction. That’s as little as a $5 per day budget to start getting leads from Facebook ads for your small business.

Understand that as you grow and start getting results you’ll likely increase your ad spend, but $5 a day is enough to get the ball rolling. Also depending on what kind of customer lists or email list you already have, this budget will be more effective.

Also, you need to realize that running Facebook ads for small businesses, in the beginning, will mostly just be gathering data. So if your budget is smaller, just know the data gathering process will just take longer.

Another thing to keep in mind with maximizing your Facebook advertising budget is what your goals are. You can get traffic to your site no problem with a $5 per day budget, but you might not get many conversions. The more you want someone to do, the more it will cost.

So likes, and engagement can be cheap, driving traffic a bit more, then getting leads more expensive, then actual sales the most expensive. But again, it’s all relative as you can get leads and sales following the $10 per day Facebook advertising template you’ll learn below.

Simple Facebook ad template that works for any small business to generate leads

Now that you have a lead magnet you can start running ads to this Facebook ad template to start generating leads. With the initial research on your ideal customers, you will talk about their problems in your ad.

People are far more likely to want to escape pain in their life than react to their ability to achieve gain. Benefits are great, and you should talk about them in your ad copy, but mention pain points first, to draw attention to your ad.

For example, if you were a plumber, you might say something like, “Sick and tired of hearing that dripping faucet at night and never being able to fall asleep?”

You could be running real estate Facebook ads, and could say something like, “Looking at buying a home, but aren’t sure what credit score is required to make it a reality? Check out our free credit requirements guide to learn how to qualify for the dream home you’ve been looking for!”

Speak to your ideal customer’s pain points, and then share a few benefits of your lead magnet, and then include a call to action to visit your site for access. If your lead magnet helps solve a problem, answers a common question, or helps your ideal customers reach a goal faster, there is a high chance people will download it.

Facebook advertising template to drive traffic to any offer for your small business

Following this Facebook advertising template, you can really drive traffic to anywhere and anything. The best part about this is now that you have this Facebook advertising formula for your small business you will never have trouble getting people to your offers.

Again the 3 step Facebook advertising template formula for small business is…

  1. Speak to a problem or pain point of your ideal customer
  2. Promote a benefit of your offer or result they can achieve
  3. Call to action to get your offer or free give away

This Facebook advertising template can be followed to generate leads, drive traffic, and used for promoting any product or service your small business offers.

See the picture below of an example I use that often generates leads under $1 per lead.

3 step ad formula for how to get leads for your business on a $10 per day Facebook advertising budget

In addition to the formula above to drive traffic to your offer, you’ll also have the ability to create a simple ad formula to get leads on a $10 per day Facebook advertising budget. The first step is to have some kind of content you want to drive traffic to.

Your content piece should be value-based and something that you can track with a Facebook pixel. For example, you could use a video or a blog post. Another great option could be a testimonial video from your customers.

This video could be as short as 1-5 minutes long, but if you have it under two minutes, you can also run the ad on Instagram. The second step is to set up a custom audience in your Facebook ads manager and create an audience based on visitors to that piece of content.

The 3rd step is to run an ad that drives traffic to your free lead magnet that the audience is based on visitors to your site. Start off with most of your $10 a day Facebook advertising budget aimed at the first ad and maybe a dollar or two at the second ad.

As your audience increases in size, you can continue to shift more of your budget towards the second ad. The point of this strategy is to turn a cold audience into a warm audience that knows, likes and trusts you. Once that relationship is built, you then send them to your lead magnets and offers, and the conversion will be much higher.

Optimizing targeting for your small business Facebook ads

Following this same strategy, you can use your custom audience of site visitors to build out lookalike audiences based on people who engage with your content. This is one of the best ways to optimize your targeting and to maximize your Facebook advertising budget.

Most people waste their entire Facebook advertising budget on poor targeting and on ads that just list product features. You need to center your ads around the benefits of your small business products or services and target the right people.

As you start to drive traffic to your offers and build up your custom audiences and turn those into a lookalike audience, your conversions will likely improve and costs will likely go down. By following this method you can even create additional ad sets that your step 2, of your lead magnet, that are targeting the lookalike audience of people who visit that page from your initial step 2 ad.

Eventually, you can even start building up a custom audience of people who visit your thank you page and even the sales page that typically comes after the thank you page. After you get at least 100 people in that thank you page, or sales page visitor audience, you can create lookalike audiences from those as well.

All of these highly-targeted lookalike audiences can then be used as additional ad sets to your ads that go to your lead magnets or even initial content. Following this Facebook advertising strategy for your small business will continue to improve the targeting and can help lower costs.

Add a 4th step to your Facebook advertising formula to get sales

The final step you can implement while running Facebook ads for small businesses is to run an ad directly to your sales page. Unfortunately, most small businesses start with this step and that’s why they don’t make money with Facebook ads.

You’ll burn through your Facebook advertising budget with minimal results if you start your Facebook ads strategy driving traffic to your sales page. To optimize Facebook ads for small businesses, you’ll focus on remarketing ads that drive traffic to your sales page.

When you have an audience for example that has already gone through your funnel or have a lookalike audience created of people that have, you are far more likely to make sales from your Facebook ads.

This process of data gathering does take time and you will spend money on Facebook ads likely for a few months before this can happen. However, when you do have these highly targeted audiences built, you can start to get leads and conversions for your small business at an incredibly low investment.
