Failure is Not an Option: How to Deal with Setbacks when Pursuing your Dreams
Learning how to deal with setbacks and overcoming obstacles is crucial
If you think that you will never face failure when pursuing your dreams you are in for a shock. Most people regardless of what their goals are will inevitably have to learn how to deal with setbacks. You will want to adopt the failure is not an option mindset as quickly as possible. This weekend I visited NASA in Houston, Texas and a great motto they talked about over and over again was the idea that “failure is not an option”. When pursuing your dreams it can be very helpful to acquire this mindset as well because you will encounter many challenges when overcoming obstacles. If you have the wrong mindset going into trying to build a successful business or challenge you will most likely quit before you reach success. There are three rules for success in almost any endeavor and they are pay attention, get excited, and never quit. Persistence beats resistance every time and the sooner you believe failure is not an option the closer you will get to success after each failed attempt.
