If you could guarantee your success in network marketing would you want to know how? Well, one of the best methods to use to your advantage is the law of averages in network marketing. As the great Jim Rohn said, “Make up in numbers what you lack in skill”. This is the foundation of the law of averages in network marketing, and in this post, you’ll learn how to use it to rank up faster in your business.

What is the law of averages in network marketing?

Now if you haven’t heard before sales and success in network marketing is often a numbers game. This means that if you talk to enough people and share your business correctly, the numbers and results tend to work out in your favor.

This is based on the law of averages in network marketing. The concept is based on sowing and reaping as a farmer does, but you apply it while building your network marketing business.

For example, if you share your network marketing business with 10 people 1 person usually gets started. If you are good and improve your skills you might start to get 2/10 or even 3/10.

The concept of the law of averages in network marketing is that if you show enough people a ratio of results starts to appear. In the beginning, your ratio probably won’t be that good, but it’s only a starting point. So don’t beat yourself up about it!

This is where the concept at the beginning of this post came from. “Make up in numbers what you lack in skill.” This is really the foundation of the law of averages in network marketing. Now let’s get into how to use this to your advantage and as a method for building your network marketing business.

Determine Your Sales Ratios and How to Properly Use the Law of Averages in Network Marketing

Most people when they are starting off in their business have yet to understand anything about the law of averages or knowing what their sales ratios are. Basically what your sales ratios are is how many people you have to show to get someone started in your business.

One of my favorite MLM recruiting secrets is the idea of knowing your sales ratios and using the law of averages to your advantage. The first key to this is to keep track of how many people you show and how many people get started out of those that you show.

One of the network marketing recruiting secrets is the concept that what gets measured gets done. If you don’t keep score you can’t win and if you aren’t tracking your numbers, it’s hard to improve them.

The great thing about sales ratios is that they can improve. A great way to track your numbers and hold yourself accountable is with a focus board.

Taking the pressure off of building your network marketing business with the law of averages

You can definitely feel stressed out when you want to hit a new rank in your network marketing business and it just isn’t happening. A great way to releave some of that stress and make building your network marketing business more fun is with the law of averages.

Here’s the thing, when you know your ratio for results, and stick with it consistently, you can win big. Let’s say for example you wanted to recruit 100 people into your business personally. Well, if you know your ratio is 1/10 that you show get started, you now know you just need to show 1000 people to sign up 100 people personally.

This can take out a lot of the stress of building your network marketing business. This happens because even if you get a bunch of nos in a row, you know the next yes is right around the corner. Sometimes you might get 40 or 50 nos in a row, but then you hit a hot streak and sign up 6 or 7 people right in a row.

The law of averages in network marketing always works when you are consistent with it. When in doubt, show more people. When you understand this concept and know your sales ratios the business becomes more fun and the “no’s” become less painful.

It doesn’t matter how successful you become you still get the “no’s”. However, when you know your sales ratios and use the law of averages you can simply plan that the “no’s” always work out to eventually getting a yes.

Learn to invite correctly and you’ll have an easier time recruiting for your network marketing business

Understanding your success is only half the battle. Certainly you could use this concept to take your network marketing business to the top, but you should always be looking for ways to improve your ratios.

One of the best ways to do this is by learning how to invite correctly. You could say all the wrong stuff and probably still get a few people started in your business, but you obviously want to make the most of your time.

This is where inviting mastery comes in. Your language and how you invite people to see your network marketing business makes a huge difference.

Network marketing scripts can work, but you need to know how and when to use them for the best results. Some things to keep in mind are that you want to see if people are open to hearing about your business first.

A common mistake people make when inviting in network marketing is that they simply push their products and business. Being pushy and salesy may work for some, but the majority of people are turned off by it.

Instead, you want to come from the perspective of how can I help this person, rather than how can I sell this person.
