Leadership Development tips: Are you being a one man show if so don’t be a hero
There are 3 things every prospect will ask themselves when they are looking at your home business before they join. Is it real? Can I do this? And will you help me? Unfortunately most people when they are new to network marketing they try and be a one man show and do everything on their own and don’t use the tools or their up line help for support. One key for duplication and fast growth is don’t be a hero and try and explain everything on your own. It doesn’t matter if you know all the right things to say and know all the answers if your new prospect doesn’t think they can do it they won’t join. You’ll get objections like I could see you doing this because you are a great sales person, or you are great with people I’m just not a people person. Your job is to make the system simple that people can plug into. The more you try and do it all on your own the more you will turn people away from your business.
If you want fast results and massive duplication you can’t be a one man show and don’t be a hero for growth in your home business
Another area I used to drop the ball in when I was new was that I would never use a third party expert after a presentation. When you are a one man show with closing and getting people started in your business and don’t use an expert as a 3 way call the person may like everything but they will think that they have to go through every question after a presentation, close their prospect, and then train them. When you can use an expert to answer questions and close your prospects, the new person will see that there is a system and support, which covers both is it real and will you help me. When you put an expert on the phone they can share their story and experience which solidifies that your company and opportunity is for real and provides credibility and social proof.
