Network marketing closing tips – It’s all about timing

Timing is a huge factor when you are prospecting and recruiting in network marketing. Obviously you should still work on your network marketing closing skills, but everyone goes through their own roller coaster.

Most people join network marketing in some sort of transition period. Most people don’t usually get started when everything is doing great in their lives. Maybe they lost their job, they hate their job, they don’t have the time freedom they want, etc. This is usually when someone is at the bottom of the roller coaster.

Sometimes people are at the top of roller coaster, maybe they got a promotion, they just started a new relationship, they got a new car, whatever. A lot of times when you invite someone either to see your opportunity, or try and close them, they won’t get started in the business because they think everything is going great.

If you think people might be at the top of the roller coaster, it is a great time to approach people with your products.

Network marketing closing tips – Don’t be rude to people if they don’t join

This comes back to the roller coaster effect. If someone is at the peak and they don’t join and don’t be a jerk to them. When you are a jerk they probably won’t come to you if things change.

It was a mistake I used to make a lot in the past. When someone didn’t get started I would make them feel bad or give the impression that they were an idiot when they didn’t get started.

I still don’t really get why people don’t get started. I know people can become successful if they simply decide to and take action, regardless of what situation they might be in.

You may think the person is dumb or crazy for not getting started right away. Even if you feel that way try and not give the impression of that. Of course have passion, but don’t use that passion to be rude to that person or make them feel terrible for not getting started. The next time they hit the bottom of the roller coaster they may come right to you if you treated them with respect when you initially approached them.
