Finalize Your Budget Before You Launch Your Business

First of all, you need to spend some time reviewing the business budget you will have created. This will be one of your last chances to make sure that all the numbers are correct and all potential expenses have been accounted for.

This should also give you an idea of how much you can afford to spend on your launch day. Most businesses like to mark their launch by doing something special, such as an open door day at your new office.

Some prefer to plan a small party for people in their close business network. However, you need to make sure that you can afford this before you do start planning something or else you might end up out of pocket.

Design Your Website For Your Business Launch

You should set up a website for your company in advance of its launch. People can check it out to see exactly what your business is going to be about. Make sure that you invest plenty into your website so that you can create an eye-catching contemporary design.

After all, most of your clients will find you by stumbling onto your website if its SEO is good enough, and they will make their first judgment of your company based on what they see. Sure, you could create your own website, but it is usually a lot more efficient to hire a web designer to do this for you.

Setting up a sales funnel system could be another option to get a basic website up and running quickly. These options won’t be as customizable to the point of having a blog and unlimited pages for your site, but they are a great way to get things rolling.

If you don’t have a huge budget to invest in high-end plugins, themes, or design for your site, a sales funnel system like Clickfunnels could be a good option. With a sales funnel system like this in place, you’ll have a wide range of done for you templates you can choose from.

This can allow you to start selling your products or services online and also begin to generate leads online for your business as well. If you’d like to check out a free 14-day trial of Clickfunnels click here.

Set Up Some Online Advertising For Your Business

In order to help your website be discovered a lot more, and for your company’s brand to reach a wider audience in general, it’s a good idea to start with some of your marketing campaigns before your business has launched.

This can help you generate some excitement around the whole launch. One thing that you can do before you have started operating is to set up some online advertising in anticipation of the big day.

It’s worth speaking to a marketing agency about getting some PPC campaigns up and running, as this can point a lot of web traffic in the direction of your website. It’s also a good idea to start your social media campaigns early on as well.

If you are running paid traffic, start aiming it at your free offers and lead magnets so you can start building your email list. The sooner you can start building your list of potential customers the better.

If you haven’t yet created a lead magnet or free giveaway for your site, you can learn more about it in this post on creating lead magnets. I’d also recommend checking out the video below on how to make an ebook as this could be the route you go for making a lead magnet.

Create Social Media Profiles

In the point above, I briefly mentioned that it’s a good idea to set up your social media marketing campaigns before you launch the company. So, you will need to open profiles for your business on a few platforms.

It’s a good idea to try to build your following before you do start your company properly as this should really help you improve your brand’s outreach. And by growing your number of followers, you are increasing the chances of finding new clients.

For example, someone might stumble across your company’s profile and realize that you offer them the solution to the problem that they have been trying to solve for so long.

There is a right and a wrong way to grow your audience through social media and if you do it wrong you can come off as spammy. Learn how to build your following the correct way on Instagram here.

Host A Competition

Once you have set up your social media profiles, you can then start a competition on the platforms. Social media competitions are a huge help for businesses that need to widen their reach and get a little more publicity.

What’s more, it’s completely free! It’s worth running your competition over all of your different social media platforms so that people who only follow you on one will see it. Encourage your followers to share the post to enter, and then even more people will see the competition and get involved.

It could be quite surprising at just how far you are able to spread the word about your new company and the competition!

Expand Your Team

Of course, you will need to find some employees to join your team if you will need a few helping pairs of hands in the business. You don’t have to stick to full-time employees if they will be too expensive for you, though. You might want to start off by employing some contractors and freelancers.

As these workers won’t be entitled to any financial perks, they will be a lot cheaper for you. Plus, you only have to pay them for the work they do and you won’t have to provide them with a full-time wage. It’s a good idea to start your recruitment process a couple of months before you plan on opening so that you have time to find the perfect workers and train them.

You may also consider creating an affiliate marketing branch to your business. With this model, you could have hundreds if not thousands of people promoting your business and the only time it costs you money is when a sale comes in.

If that sounds like a business model you’d like to learn more about, check out my affiliate marketing beginners guide.

Don’t Give Too Much Away

It’s important that you get the public excited about your new company in the runup to its launch, but you shouldn’t give away too much information. After all, it’s this mystery that will keep their excitement levels high.

So, for instance, rather than unveiling your website straight away, you might want to add a cover page that simply has your business’s name and a tagline like “coming soon”. You could also add information about any competitions you are running. This should be enough to keep the general public intrigued.

Another option is to follow the model talked about in this book LaunchIn this book, Jeff Walker covers the step by step process of launching a product or business. If you are doing any kind of internet marketing to promote your business, this book covers an excellent marketing strategy to do it. Pick up a copy on Amazon here

As you can see, there could be a lot that you need to do before opening a brand new business. If you put in enough time and effort and get it just right, it will really pay off for you, and you could benefit from a very successful launch!
