Simply Knowing Is Not Enough

The old saying goes that knowledge is power, it is definitely great to have knowledge but that isn’t the whole story. I know many people that have great amounts of knowledge and many degrees but they are broke and/or don’t have the success in life that they really want. The true factor that is going to create success in your life is going to be knowledge plus action.

Learning is definitely a cornerstone to success, however if all you do is learn and never apply it nothing gets done. So the blending of the two, knowledge and action, will create success. Leaders are always readers, is another old saying that has proven true time and time again. If you want to be a leader continuous learning is key and when you combine that with action there is almost nothing you can’t accomplish.

The great part of action is that you will be able to learn from experience at the same time. If are constantly applying the knowledge you are learning through action there is much more you will learn that is practical for you. There is much to be learned from experience in the real world vs solely book knowledge. I know I learned far more starting and building my nutritional consulting business, than I had ever learned sitting in my classroom in college learning about theories of how to build a business. The combination of street smarts and book smarts are key to creating success for yourself. Street smarts can be learned if you don’t naturally have them through action and experience.

One of the best ways to learn is through a mentor or finding someone who has what you want or has achieved what you wish to achieve. With a mentor you can learn from their experience or basically what they have learned through their knowledge combined with action in the past. I learned a vast amount of my business knowledge and leadership skills through working with direct mentors that I was in business with throughout my life. There is a lot to gain from a mentors practical experience vs just reading it out of a book. If you can learn through a mentor or books from people have done what you are trying to achieve you can cut your learning curve greatly. Much of the trial and error action steps you would have to make trying to get good at something solely on your own can be greatly reduced.

Become a continuous learner and constantly improve yourself but never forget to take action as well. Action is the only thing that creates results. Don’t let yourself get left behind in life simply by only gathering knowledge, get into action and start achieving your goals and dreams faster by mastering taking action immediately on new found knowledge that can benefit your life.

I would realistically look at building a successful network marketing business as a 3-5 year project to build a successful 10k a month income. Sure, some will get there faster, but the majority of people will take at least 3 years to be able to make that happen.  This means you will need to do “COLD MARKET RECRUITING” in addition to Warm Market Recruiting, AND you will need a high volume lead generating system or you wont make it very far. Network Marketing is a numbers game, and without the Numbers and Leads you have no business. If you don’t already have a High Volume Lead Generating System for Your Business….
