How to become a leader, step up and lead by example and make it happen
You can’t just hope and wish to be a leader in your organization you need to become a leader. Leaders don’t wait around and think they will just randomly be chosen to take charge. The first step to become a leader is to start doing the action steps that you would expect your team to do.
You can’t expect to lead your team somewhere you’ve never been. Rise to the challenge head on and start doing presentations, or hosting team calls, or taking on new projects. Choose to take on more responsibility and step up if you want to be recognized. Also start preparing to become a leader by reading books and attending trainings, and taking courses to improve your skills. If you intend to become a leader you need to stay ahead of your team in personal development or they won’t see you as someone they should follow.
