Are you using business tools to leverage your business?
Are you using business tools to automate and leverage you business?
Don’t get stuck only in a bootstrapping mindset and sacrifice business tools that can help you create success faster
As entrepreneurs and business owners one trait we all share is the idea of bootstrapping. Basically the concept of lowering your overhead as much as possible in order to conserve capital while building the business. This is a great concept to use and have in your business, but at the same time don’t do it to the point of taking everything on by yourself to save a few bucks.
I myself struggled with this as well in areas in my business when it came to buying tools to help with automation or to streamline things. For example, when I first started building my list I was just doing it with the default Gmail account I had. While this saved me a few bucks a month from getting an auto-responder, it added a large amount of time going through and manually sending each new subscriber their content.
This may have not been bad when I was starting out and subscribers were few and far between, but now I could only imagine how much of a headache and time I would be wasting on doing something that could be quickly automated for a few bucks.
Use business tools as leverage to focus on your most productive activities
Another benefit of using business tools for you business as a form of leverage is that you can re-focus your time on something more productive. For example, if you have a home business, making sales and prospecting and bringing in new leads is the lifeblood of your business.
Spending time to automate distributing some of your content may be as little as $10 a month, but the time you save could be an hour a day or more. How many people could you talk to in your business in that hour? How many new customers or business partners could you sign up in that hour?
These are the kinds of questions you should be asking yourself before you decide to focus on bootstrapping and if it makes sense to automate things to become more productive, I would recommend it.
That is why I wanted to learn the skill of online lead generation, I had gotten success in prospecting and recruiting, however there was always so much time spent on reaching out to people. That strategy does work, and I still use it today, however I wanted to start to leverage it with tools and a system.
