These are a few helpful tips I have learned over the years for how to deal with discouragement in network marketing
Most people who are new to network marketing don’t know how to handle discouragement while building their business. There are a couple things that can help you with discouragement and the first one is having proper expectations when you are prospecting in network marketing. Many people don’t understand that part of success in network marketing is a numbers game and that getting no’s is a part of the process of becoming successful. Unfortunately many people think that everyone will say yes and that they only need to talk to one special girl or guy who is going to “crush it” and then they can sit back and reap the rewards from that effort. It is true that one person can drastically change your business, however you have to be realistic when it comes to the numbers. I know plenty of people who complain about their results and that have shown 5 people and say they “have talked to everyone” or “everyone I know isn’t into this” etc. Understand the no’s will happen but you need to put in the work to be successful.
Another way for how to deal with discouragement is to stop being addicted to the outcome of every presentation
Often times people get so focused on getting a yes that if they don’t they are completely crushed. If you are looking for a way how to handle discouragement, stop being addicted to the outcome of every presentation. I used to get super frustrated and beat myself up when I got a lot of no’s in a row but that didn’t really serve anyone. If you are too addicted to the outcome instead of being addicted to the activity you are setting yourself up for a lot of frustration. The more you can just focus on the right activities and the numbers, the results will work themselves out.
