How to follow up in network marketing without being desperate and pushy
One great method you can use when you are following up with prospects in network marketing is to talk about bad timing for them. It doesn’t matter what their objection was for not getting started, busy at work, not enough time, didn’t have the money, whatever just default to bad timing.
How to follow up in network marketing starts with getting your prospect on your side. Being agreeable and giving them the benefit of the doubt, regardless of how much you disagree is a good place to start. For example you may say something like hey Bob I know timing wasn’t the best before when I was talking to you with the kids getting out of school and you being in line for that new promotion.
I don’t know what you are all up to these days but we are going through another surge of growth right now and I thought of you. I don’t know if timing is better or not at this point, but I figured I would take a chance on you and reach out to see if you might be open to something extra at this point.
How to follow up in network marketing – Lead with some new information or benefit for your prospect
When you are reaching back out to old prospects make sure you lead with something new and positive as to the reason why you are reaching back out. If you just constantly call and say things like, hey are you ready to start yet. people who don’t get started now suck, don’t be like the rest of the losers who didn’t get started and join today, you are going to turn off your prospects and they will never join.
Obviously no one really says things that extreme, however that is often how you sound to your prospects. So for better results be friendly and just inform them of some great new things going on in your company. Maybe you have a car bonus program, you might say something like “Hey Bob I know timing wasn’t the greatest before when we last talked about business, but I don’t know if you know Tommy from high school?
Well he got started with us a few months back and just qualified for his car bonus and picked out the new xyz model! I know you’ve always talked about getting one of those too, and I figured I would at least reach out to see if things may have changed for you and if you might be open to something at this point?” Another thing you could reach out for is if your company just launched a new contest like a trip incentive. Basically anything new that your prospect could take advantage of.
