The first thing you should strive for with your new reps is to help them get a positive result in their first 24-48 hours in the business. Ideally you should be striving for a new sign up or new customer for that new rep, but at the minimum of a successful invitation for a presentation. People who are new in the industry often have improper expectations and have a lottery ticket mentality. They expect far better results right away than most actually get. So if you can start them with a some results you can give them the motivation to stick around and start to get through their learning curve in order for them to truly become successful in the business.

In addition to that another benefit to helping your new team member get results right away you should focus on getting your team member to a bigger leadership event. When building leaders in your team they will need to have belief that they can do it and they will need some social proof that the business is working. A larger event will accomplish this and help your new member start to learn the skills necessary to win in your business. They also get to see others winning at a high level from a variety of backgrounds which can help them start to develop the belief in themselves that they can win.
