One area you should be focused on for leadership development is in the area of developing responsibility. If you have a goal of having a large team that grows and builds with or without you, you need to focus on the leadership skill training of developing responsibility. You want more leaders stepping up in your team as much as possible and there are a few simple steps you can do to help them do that. The first step is to delegate tasks for people in your team. They don’t have to be major tasks but for example if you have group presentation make sure someone is responsible for setting up the chairs and music, another could be responsible for setting up the videos or presentation, another could be in charge of setting out the signup forms or tools for new reps that get started.

Another area for how to develop responsibility is with testimonials

Focus on teaching your new team members how to do a 30 second testimonial. The more people get used to sharing their story the easier it will be them to start talking to more people. Network marketing is greatly built on a person’s belief that they can succeed. If your new members believe that they can succeed they will start to take action. When they are asked to speak and step up and talk about how good they are doing it reinforces their belief that they are doing well and they feel like they are starting to become leaders. Now this also starts developing responsibility because they won’t want to let everyone down with a bad testimonial, and they will feel responsible for helping new people get started, and they will feel as though they are contributing to the presentation as well.

In addition to that you can also focus your leadership skill training with new team members doing part of the live presentations or conference calls

This is a great way for how to develop responsibility because you can for one be duplicating your efforts by training them how to do the introductions in the presentations or product portion as well as developing responsibility because they are now in charge of part of the presentation. You can have team members watch a few presentations first then after a few times ease them into it by having them do parts as well. This will speed up their leadership development as well as help them make money through the presentations at the same time. Now you don’t have to worry about if they say the wrong things, or do a bad presentation, etc. because you should be doing the second half or answering any questions or make clarifications if necessary.
