A common mistake people make when they are new is they focus on their contacts who desperately “need” their opportunity and not the people who actually want one.
This basically means that instead of talking to their ambitious, goal oriented friends, they reach out to their down and out unmotivated friends.

Another thing that happens when you prospect people who are doing poorly financially is you will get more objections. Not to say that some people who are down and out won’t get started in your business and do big things, but the likelihood of that happening are much lower.
Often people who aren’t succeeding in life to begin with have a negative mentality, which is why they are at where they are at. When you approach these people don’t be surprised if they are negative about your opportunity as well.
In my experience people who were already successful that I would show my business just got it. The person I talked to making minimum wage at a business thought it was a scam, but the owner of the business said it made total sense and joined.

I would realistically look at building a successful network marketing business as a 3-5 year project to build a successful 10k a month income. Sure, some will get there faster, but the majority of people will take at least 3 years to be able to make that happen. This means you will need to do “COLD MARKET RECRUITING” in addition to Warm Market Recruiting, AND you will need a high volume lead generating system or you won’t make it very far.
