MLM Tips: You need to work where you are deserved not where you are needed
MLM tips: stop spending time with the wrong people
Don’t focus everything you have on one specific person while you are prospecting and building your business. I know I used to make this mistake when I was new. It would sound something like this…”If this guy gets in man he’s going to crush it”, “If Sally get started she knows everybody, game over!”, “Tracy, wow she loves to travel, if she sees this it’s going to explode”, “Bob, now bob is all about nutrition, when he gets started I’m going to become a millionaire!” Have you said anything like this before, or heard your team members saying it? Well it’s a common mistake to bank everything on one person or to focus on convincing the wrong people rather than spending time with the right ones. When you have a lottery ticket mentality like this is can create a lot of frustration when either those people don’t join, or even if they do join and they don’t do anything. Now there isn’t anything wrong with being excited to show someone or have someone join your business, but at the same time don’t rely on them to create success in your business, you should be the one to be the leader and make things happen.
MLM tips: Don’t require the support of everyone in order to go out and build your business
A lot of people make this mistake as well, me included when I was getting started, and that is they are constantly looking for support from everyone before they build their business, or they need their family on board or specific friends to join or they think they can’t be successful. For example I know people where they have a family member join and they don’t do anything or they really want their siblings or parent’s support and if they don’t join or don’t do anything they constantly beat themselves up about it or think it’s the end of the world. Me for example, none of my siblings or family have joined any of my businesses in the past, my parents used some products off and on, but nothing consistent and none of my close friends really joined or did anything in my business either. However this didn’t stop thousands of people from joining my team and business over the years. So again just because one or two people don’t join your business don’t think it is the end of your career.
MLM tips: Your close friends or siblings or family is just an acquaintance or stranger to someone already successful
Unless you are in a brand new company on day one, most likely there are already people who have reached the top level in your company. So if you are getting so worked up that your family and close friends haven’t joined your team you should think about this concept. For those people who have reached the top levels in your company, your close friends and family are either a distant acquaintance to them or a complete stranger. Those top earners didn’t require your closest relationships to get to the top, so why would you need them either? The truth is you don’t need their support or to have them join in order to become successful. You can find other people and build a successful business with or without them, so don’t keep wasting your time on the wrong people.
