What asking “Do I have to?” really means…
One thing I have heard a lot over the years of prospecting and building teams is when people say “do I have to…?”, if you have ever thought this, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
You don’t “HAVE TO” do anything
Sometimes you’ll hear people say “do I have to pay money for this?”, or “Do I have to go to the training”, or “Do I have to talk to people I know to do this business?”. Here’s the thing, you don’t have to do anything in life.
However, at the same time you also don’t have to have the success you want in life either. A lot of times you’ll hear these kinds of excuses or questions from people who aren’t reaching the success they want in life.
They are frustrated with their situation, be that not having the freedom they want, the money they want, the lifestyle they want etc. The choices they have made up to that point have created the results that they are currently experiencing.
Don’t feel like you have to do certain steps in your business, but don’t think you’ll get the results you are looking for either
Building a successful business isn’t easy, but it can be worth it. You will definitely have to get outside of your comfort zone when you build a successful home business.
You don’t HAVE TO read the books the people getting results suggest, you don’t HAVE TO go to the training events, and you don’t HAVE TO invest in yourself and in your business, but if you don’t you probably won’t get much in results either.
You don’t have to show up at your job, and work hard, or have a pleasing personality either, but if you don’t you probably won’t have a job much longer. Stop thinking about what you have to do and start thinking about the rewards that can come from you doing it.
Building a successful home business will take some sacrifices from you in the form of time, energy, and money, but you need to ask yourself are the current results you have been getting what you really want?
If your current results aren’t what you want and you haven’t been reaching your goals, maybe it’s time to change your attitudes about the “have to’s” you are avoiding in your life.
Your have to’s create your results…
You should understand that you don’t have to build a successful business. You can settle for a mediocre life where you struggle financially. Where you always have to worry about money. Where you are always stressed about paying your bills.
You don’t have to create freedom in your life. You don’t have to avoid worrying about your retirement. You don’t have to create something that can impact others and help others reach their greatness.
You don’t have to create a legacy and set your family up for a successful future. You don’t have to raise your own kids, and you can settle with letting them be raised by the daycare.
You get to choose your “have to’s”. Based on the choices you make you can either sacrifice some things and create a life you want, or live in your comfort zone and never do any “have to’s” you don’t want to, but live with an average life without ever reaching your dreams. The choice is yours….
