You Need to Use These Easy Selling Techniques and Appointment Setting Tips. My favorite selling technique and appointment setting tip is using fear of loss or a take away. When you are not needy or desperate to make the sale you will have far more people be willing to meet with you to take a look at what you have. A few appointment setting scripts you should use are ‘I can’t promise anything’ or ‘I can’t guarantee anything’ or ‘I don’t know if you would qualify for what we are looking for’. Another one of my appointment setting tips is to make sure you stay in control. You be the one who sets a time for the appointment, you can give them windows of time that would work for you, but give them a choice so it seems that they are picking a time. This is one of the easiest selling techniques is called an alternative close, which is when you simply give someone two choices A or B. The great part of using this when setting appointments is you don’t care what they pick since you still get the appointment either way.
