Are you creating a comfort zone for success or failure?

Your habits will make you or break you.  Are you creating a comfort zone for success or failure?
Many people will start a new years resolution,  or decide to start going to the gym,  want to lose weight,  set new business goals,  and almost always the reason that they don’t already have those goals achieved is that they have not decided to create a comfort zone for success rather than failure.
I went to the gym a few days ago and decided to do an ab routine I hadn’t done in a while. Not surprisingly my whole body was sore the next few days. Why? Because I had been in the comfort zone of not working out my abs. If my goal was to have washboard abs and 8% body fat I would need to create a new comfort zone for success.
The funny thing is that most people don’t realize that the discomfort is only temporary.  It only occurs during the transition period from one comfort zone to another.  If you get in the comfort zone of working out consistently your body gets used to that and begins to feel terrible when you don’t work out. Maybe you feel guilty for not working out or sick to your stomach until you work out, your confidence goes down.  Many negative feelings become associated with breaking your new habits and comfort zone.
This leads us to the conclusion that it is simply a choice of creating a comfort zone for success or failure.  Either way there will be some discomfort in transitioning whichever we choose to do but obviously choosing a success comfort zone will bring us to our goals.
We can easily apply this to business as well by simply choosing to focus on income producing activities for our business. If you don’t like making sales calls for example, but if that is what brings in the most profits for you, the more you do them or set up a consistent routine of making those calls the sooner that will become your comfort zone. Once it’s your habit and your new comfort zone you will have just created a comfort zone for success rather than failure.
Decide today to create habits for a comfort zone for success over failure!

I would realistically look at building a successful network marketing business as a 3-5 year project to build a successful 10k a month income. Sure, some will get there faster, but the majority of people will take at least 3 years to be able to make that happen.  This means you will need to do “COLD MARKET RECRUITING” in addition to Warm Market Recruiting, AND you will need a high volume lead generating system or you wont make it very far. Network Marketing is a numbers game, and without the Numbers and Leads you have no business. If you don’t already have a High Volume Lead Generating System for Your Business….

    Hi Mike,

I really like your post about creating a comfort zone for success over failure – it’s so true! When I first started working out (8+ yrs ago), and stuck with it, I had mentally focused on determination, discipline, dedication – it works! I stuck with it and lost 75 lbs and have maintained the weight loss w/in +/- 10 lbs. I’ve been in a funk lately, after reading your post – I’m going to re-focus on success over failure and get back on track!

    Alice
