Are You Developing Yourself As A Leader?
A lot of people wonder why they start to struggle when they get outside of their close warm market, and the reason is you probably aren’t developing yourself as a leader.
Your warm market will usually cut you some slack
The main reason you start with your friends and family in business is that there is already a know, like, and trust factor there, and if you have an established credibility you will often get great results.
Another reason is that if you are talking to friends and family they will be more tolerant of you being new and not being an expert.
Of course you should focus on improving your skills and getting better as fast as you can, but you can be building your business and earning while you learn if you are starting with people you know.
As you move further out you’ll need to get better: Your business will only grow to the point that you do so you need to develop yourself as a leader
Would you follow you? This is a great question to ask yourself because it takes your ego out of the equation and really puts things into perspective.
If you feel you should be further ahead of where you are or maybe have a larger team, or that you should be making more money in your business, think about if the roles were reversed, would you follow you?
If the answer is no, that’s fine, it just means you need to start working on yourself more and become the leader you need to be to create larger results.
The further out from warm market you go the more you will need to work on your skills and leadership. Cold market can be great because they don’t judge you on your past, but they will judge you by who you are.
So the more you can work on yourself every day and constantly becoming better the better results you will start to have when you are building your business.
The more you can develop yourself as a leader the larger following you will develop and more success you can start attracting to you.
