Youtube Monetization without 1000 subscribers?
You’ve probably heard about the changes of monetization with YouTube and how things have gotten harder to add monetization for YouTube with ads. The good news is that while you might not be at the required thresholds yet, there are still ways to make money with YouTube.
YouTube Monetization without 1000 subscribers is still possible, but you just won’t make money from YouTube from ads. That’s totally OK because that is only of of the ways to monetize your YouTube channel.
Regardless of what your passion and YouTube channel are about, there are several ways that you can create monetization with YouTube. The monetization strategy will very depending on your type of content, but you can still make it work without YouTube monetization from adsense.
Use Patreon to create monetization for YouTube without running ads on your videos
Another really cool option how to monetize on YouTube is with Patreon. This is a cool service I discovered that can help you monetize your passions and provide value to your audience.
Now using Patreon isn’t a fit for everyone, but it could be a nice option depending on what sort of content or things you are marketing. For example Patreon can be a great resource for people like teachers, game reviewers, or just entertainment based YouTube channels.
Basically Patreon gives you a bunch of options to have people support your channel on various levels. This can start at $1 a month and then basically the sky is the limit.
Ideally you want to set up a tiered structure with it where you can offer different things of value and then offer more value as their monthly contribution increases. For example maybe your $1 a month level you offer a monthly newsletter, or early access to your videos.
Then you can increase the value as you increase the monthly amount they contribute. At the $5 per month level you might offer a free ebook, or video course, or a monthly google hangout.
The idea is that you can use this strategy to start making money with YouTube even if you are just getting started or don’t yet have enough views or subscribers to earn ad revenue.
Offer products for sale or be an affiliate as an effective way how to monetize YouTube videos
As of today you would have to build up your YouTube channel to have both 1000 subscribers as well as over 4000 hours of watch time to start getting ad revenue from YouTube. This could potentially take a few years of consistent effort producing quality content to get to this level.
Offering your own products, services, or products you are an affiliate for through your videos is another way how to monetize YouTube videos much faster. The foundation is to create videos and content that create value for your audience.
For example maybe you are a life coach, so you can create educational, and inspirational videos that your audience can benefit from. Then at the end of all of your videos you have some sort of call to action.
A call to action is directing your viewer to do something. It could be as simple as like this video and subscribe to my channel, or even directing them to an offer. Ideally you want to direct your audience to something for free, that can eventually lead to a sale
This could be something like a free ebook or video course that gives them value and then leads to some way you earn income. Doing this allows you to make money on YouTube beyond just advertising.
How to monetize YouTube Videos without ads: Drive Traffic
Again adsense and ad revenue is just one income stream that you can generate through YouTube. You also don’t even need to sell anything directly and still make money on YouTube.
For example you could have a variety of products or services for sale on your website, and your goal through YouTube might just be to get your viewers to your site. Driving traffic from YouTube can be simple.
You could create blog posts on your site that just provide value or entertain your viewers, and then suggest with your call to action that if they liked your content to check out your blog. These non pushy call to actions prompting your viewers to check out your site can be a great way to drive traffic.
You can also simply have a link to your blog or site in the description of the video. You might say something like, “If you enjoyed this video be sure to check out my blog for more great content. Simply click on the like in the description below the video or head to www.coachmikemacdonald.com”
Once your viewers are on your site, they can see a variety of offers you might have. It could be products for sale, affiliate offers, coaching, your book, etc. This is another great way how to monetize YouTube without 1000 subscribers or watch time requirements being met to run ads.
Monetization for YouTube doesn’t have to be difficult you just need to think of ways that you can provide value to your viewers and then offer solutions to their problems in which you earn money for.
