A lot of people in network marketing are working with the wrong people, they are focused on working with the people who are not being teachable and coachable. So what do you do about having a rep in your team who isn’t teachable and isn’t coachable? Well the first thing you should do when you start a new rep is confront this issue in the beginning, you should ask your new reps right when they get started if they are teachable and coachable and if they are committed to getting the goals they want?  You can follow that up with, do you really know what that means? Often they will say yes, you should reiterate that what that means to you is that they are willing to do what you tell them to do in order to reach that goal as quickly as possible. If they again say yes they are that kind of person you should get them plugged into the next training event.

Network marketing leaders focus on getting their team plugged in to the events to eliminate people who are uncoachable

When your reps plug into the bigger events and trainings, it takes all the burden of training them and helping them get success off of you. People can then grow and develop their business at their own pace. If for example they are unteachable and aren’t listening to you, it could be the same as the concept of a profit isn’t welcome in their own home town. So if they are not listening to you, but they go to a big event and see other top leaders teaching the same thing, your uncoachable reps usually get the idea and start to build their business with what works. Another approach, which might be too aggressive for some, is telling your new reps you won’t even work with them if they aren’t plugging into the trainings and events. This may seem harsh, but in my experience I have yet to see anyone create massive success in a network marketing business without plugging into some kind of training events and personal development programs.

Network Marketing Leaders understand that success in network marketing is about duplication not just on what works

It’s not about how amazing and the best you can become it’s more about how great you can build a team of people to their greatness. Obviously you do want to work on your own skill sets and becoming a professional network marketer, however if you can make a team of people great you can create exponential growth in your team vs just you adding people. You want to begin with the end in mind and start to build a team that duplicated and can be successful with or without you. So when you focus on working with your reps who are coachable and teachable and having your focus on plugging people into the trainings and “system” your company has that is already documented for creating results, you will start to create massive results. If you spend your time focused on trying to fix and work with your uncoachable reps you won’t reach your full potential. Work where you are deserved not where you are needed.
