Promote Social responsibility as one of the features of small business

One feature that can easily be used to market your business is social responsibility. Talk about the benefits you provide for the community that you serve. Do this rather than just being solely focused on profits to their detriment.

Obviously, businesses that are more socially conscious can create much better PR, which will also help to build their brand as trustworthy and positive in their potential customers’ eyes.

A great example of this is Find Your Grind, something you can find out more about on the Instagram for Nick Gross, its founder. In a nutshell, this company helps millennials follow a more modern career path that is focused on what they want to be rather than a restrictive predetermined route. Something that has obvious benefits for the wider community, and in particular youth.  

Promote your business being Eco-friendly as one of your small business features

Next, another benefit of your business that you should be shouting from the rooftops is being green and eco-friendly. Of course, being green means that you do things in such a way that they don’t damage the environment.

It may be that you switch to a paperless office, recycle all waste, switch to resource providers that grow things in a more suitable way. You may even minimize the use of plastics and chemical in your manufacturing process.

However, what many businesses don’t realize is that many green initiatives the workplace can also save them money in the short term as well because the focus is on better use and preservation of resources. Something that makes this feature not only one that is great for marketing and PR, but that is fantastic for the budget as well.

Charity linked as one of your small business features

It is essential to acknowledge that many businesses can harness an element of social responsibility.  You can also use green power for your PR needs, but this may not always be possible in some cases. Even if this is the case, or if your business wants to do more to help the wider community, you can align yourself with a specific charity.

Now to do this, first of all, you must have the charities’ permission, and to get that it’s likely that you will need to engage in some fundraising activity like Galas, sponsored sporting events or the like. Some small businesses even chose to dedicate a percentage of their profits to a charity. They may do this forever or for a specific length of time.

Of course, once this link has been forged and approved you are then free to use it as a critical benefit and feature for PR. Something that you can shout from the rooftops and will ensure that you are helping others while improving your business’ marketing as well.
