How to invite in network marketing – Stop begging and being needy

I’ve invited thousands of people to take a look at my business over the years, and one key to a successful invite is not begging people to take a look.

I encounter people all the time who try and pitch me on their business and it usually goes something like, “I’d love you to be on my team” or “You’d make a great addition to my team” or “would you please check out this link when you get a chance” and so on.

This is not the way to invite in network marketing or any business. Don’t blast your link and beg people to watch it.

Step one on how to invite in network marketing is see if they are open

The first mistake a lot of people make when they are inviting is that they go into pitch mode right away. Before you should pitch anything you need to see if someone can benefit from what you have and if they are open.

You need to start asking more probing questions and find out if there is a need for what your business does. If you determine that your prospect has a need you can solve, ask them if they are open to your help. If yes, move forward, if no don’t.

Learn how to take a no

Another thing people do that you should avoid is learning how to take a no correctly. When you ask if someone is open and they say no, move on.

Too many times with me for example, people pitch their business, first without seeing if I’m open, then after I say not I’m not interested they get more aggressive and pushy.

Quick example of what not to do

For example just a few minutes ago I told someone no I’m happy with my current business and they proceed to tell me how xyz leader just joined and it’s the next biggest thing and blah blah blah.

Jamming your business down the throats of someone who doesn’t care, and isn’t open, does not magically bring them on your side. Nor does name dropping specific leaders. Those kind of tactics may be great if I was actually open and looking but if someone tells you no move on. Just say that’s great, I’m glad you are happy with what you have going on, if anything changes feel free to reach out.

I would realistically look at building a successful network marketing business as a 3-5 year project to build a successful 10k a month income. Sure, some will get there faster, but the majority of people will take at least 3 years to be able to make that happen.  This means you will need to do “COLD MARKET RECRUITING” in addition to Warm Market Recruiting, AND you will need a high volume lead generating system or you won’t make it very far. Network Marketing is a numbers game, and without the Numbers and Leads you have no business. If you don’t already have a High Volume Lead Generating System for your business….
