The main reason you are experiencing fear of rejection phobia is because you think that each individual yes or no really matters. Sure it would be nice if each person said yes to us, but sales and network marketing is a numbers game.

You need to trust the numbers and understand that how to overcome the fear of rejection in sales, is to know your job is to just share your offer. The person you are sharing with simply makes the decision if it is for them or not at this point.

No high pressure, no convincing, you can come from a sorting mindset, not a selling mindset and it really takes your fear of rejection in sales away. The sooner you can disassociate your self from the results the better.

Too many time’s you’ll run into sales reps or network marketers that are 100% in pitch mode. Every post they do on social media, every word out of their mouth is about how amazing their business and products are.

You definitely want to be excited about your products, service, or business, but when it’s all you talk about, it pushes people away. You need to get out of the mindset of how can I sell this person.

When you shift from how can I sell this person to how can I help this person, you can quickly overcome fear of rejection in sales. A big factor of why your fear of rejection phobia keeps popping up is because you probably think you are going to have to convince people who aren’t interested.

You want to shift your mindset to what’s in it for them and how can you help this person vs sell them. When you view your business or sales like you are there to help them and giving them an opportunity to better their life it can easily overcome fear of rejection in sales.

Fear of rejection in network marketing and sales happens because you come from a place of neediness and desperation when you try and “sell” people. When you come from a mindset of how can you help them, they are just rejecting bettering their life.

Doesn’t really make sense why they would reject that, but you won’t feel bad at all if they do. This is because you are coming from a place of adding value to their lives.

Ways to overcome fear of rejection in sales and network marketing

The foundation to getting rid of your fear of rejection in network marketing is to first find out if your prospect is actually open to what you have. Most people come from the “I need to sell this person” mindset instead of actually seeing if someone is open.

When you first find out if they are open to your offer and what you have, it makes it a lot easier to transition to your presentation. If they are open to your business or products, sharing it with them at that point becomes natural.

Look at sharing your business or service like you are a waiter or a waitress and asking someone if they want desert. Asking someone if they want to have dessert is something you encounter almost every time you eat out.

The waiter or waitress isn’t emotionally attached to the outcome when they ask someone, they just ask every time. They overcome fear of rejection in sales with their job, because they don’t worry about getting a yes or no.

Their job is simply to ask. It needs to be the same way in your business and sales. When you see yourself as just asking someone if they want dessert, your fear of rejection phobia symptoms melt away.

Another strategy to overcome fear of rejection in sales and network marketing is to picture the worse case scenario. 99 times out of 100 the worst possible scenario that can happen to you in sales is a no.

Is a no going to kill you? Has anyone ever died from a no?

Well this is always the worst case scenario in sales and network marketing. Actually there is a slightly worse scenario.

The ultimate worse scenario is that you don’t invite someone and someone else does that you know and your prospect joins with someone else. If you don’t talk to the people you know, someone else will.

This is why simply asking someone is your main job. They will either get it or they won’t and your job isn’t to worry about that.

Nos are just a natural part of the process of getting to a yes. When you start to realize that, your fear of rejection in sales will start to go away.

Another thing to think about for how to overcome fear of rejection in sales, is that no doesn’t always mean no forever. Often a no, just means no for now.

Good news is that once you have show your potential customer they now at least know what you do and what you offer. Many people don’t buy on their first exposure to your offer.

Another very effective way to overcome your fear of rejection in sales is to focus on attraction marketing as a part of your marketing strategy. When you start to have people reaching out to you, it’s pretty easy to talk about your business.

The foundation of attraction marketing is to build value and relationships first. You do this by creating content that engages your audience and that provides value.

When you solve your target markets problem, or help them achieve their needs, you build trust and credibility. All things being equal, most people do business with those that they know like and trust.

Focus on attraction marketing and you will start to develop a strong know, like, and trust factor with your audience. It’s easier to sell to a person who already knows and likes you compared to a complete stranger.

If people are coming to you wanting to know about your business, it’s hard to have any fear of rejection. Actually it’s exciting, because you  won’t have to convince them or feel as you are wasting your time.

With people coming to you, you already know they have a problem, need, or want you can help with. This can eliminate almost all rejection because they on some level already want what you have.
