Business: The Ever Growing Threat Of Technology

Technology is something that we’re really taking for granted, and we’re really underestimating the threat of technology isn’t always apparent. Technology has shaped the world that we live in today, and none more so than with our businesses.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that we now rely on our technology to do pretty much everything for us, aside from breathing. So when a business relies on technology so much, do you not think there are some threats involved?

Of course, they are, but we feel like so many of you need to wise up to these threats because they could be coming your way pretty soon. The more you rely on technology, the quicker these threats are going to come your way, so avoiding them is what we want to explore.

Technology can literally ruin a business, especially a small new startup. So if you fit the category of a startup, we hope that this article sheds some light on the things that you need to be doing!

technology, threat of technology, technology threat, business technology, is technology good for business, business tips, business technology,

Cyber Security For Your Business

Technology can do so many weird and wonderful things. Computers can calculate better than we are ever able to, and most importantly, they can be hacked so easily.

You might really underestimate the power that a cyber attack has, especially if you hold a lot of data. But the scary thing is, so many of you won’t be following along with the many compliances out there. This could be opening yourself up for an attack.

The DFARS Compliance is a compliance the Department of Defence is following, and it’s something that you might think about jumping on too. It will allow you to follow better storage protocols, and data usage in general.

As well as this, you need to make sure that you’re using simple tactics to try and keep your business safe. From changing your passwords each month, or not keeping data in one big database, there just tons of things that you can be doing!

Financial Sinkholes Is Another Threat of Technology

There are many financial sinkholes that a business can fall into, and technology definitely creates one or two of them. The problem with technology is that there’s always something new you have to buy. There’s also typically always something new that’s being developed that will greatly improve the running of your company.

Some businesses invest thousands a month into the technology they use, and couldn’t be without it. So you have to be prepared to invest in the tech you want. From there stick with it rather than keep moving onto the next software, or the next computer.

As a small business, money is really precious and technology shouldn’t be the main funnel your money is going to. There are a few resources that you should be investing in that can really make a big impact on your lead generation and marketing.

The two bare minimum pieces of technology you are going to want are an email autoresponder, and a sales funnel system. Beyond that I’d suggest checking out my post on 9 Online Marketing Investments I Wish I Made Sooner.

The Digital Race

The digital race is definitely a threat to any business. The race is the fact that everyone is now moving into the digital age, and the amount of businesses that are flooding through is crowding the market. So it’s becoming increasingly hard to grow a business when everyone else around you is doing the same thing.

The good news is that with a few simple tweaks your business can stand out big time. What kind of content marketing strategy do you have?

The thing is that while most people are jumping online and promoting their business, they are doing it wrong. Instead of attracting people to them they are actually repelling their best customers.

Most businesses try and generate leads through spamming their links or just pitching their products every second they get. This may sound like it would bring in a lot of new customers, but in reality, people just stop paying attention.

How to attract your customers to you with technology rather than repelling them

The best way you can start attracting customers to you is with content that actually solves their problems. If you aren’t sure what this means, basically take your ideal customer and get into their head. Start to understand their needs, wants, goals, questions, and problems are.

Then through your content, these are the things you should solve. You have so many options to do this. You could create videos on YouTube, write blog posts, do Facebook lives, the list is almost endless. Just start with one and be consistent with it to start to see results.

Also, you need to spend time on 3 key areas that are building your audience, engaging your audience, and then selling to your audience. Most people in this digital age only focus on selling and that’s why their business isn’t growing. If you are struggling with building your business online I’d recommend my lead generation training below and my post here:  Are You Following The #1 Rule of Online Business? How to do Attraction Marketing.
