Should You be Building Your Network Marketing Business Offline or Online?
One of the biggest questions you might have while building your network marketing business, is should I focus more offline or online?
Benefits of building your network marketing business offline
Here’s the thing, I’ve found that working both offline and online is the best way to build your business. Some people hate friends and family and their warm market, others love it.
I’ve found some of the fastest growth in my organization has come through talking to friends and family because there is already a trust and rapport there. You can be brand new and prospect someone you know and they are going to do a few things for you.
One is that they will cut you some slack if you aren’t very polished in your presentation. You could completely screw it up with your best friend and there is still a high chance of them getting started with you, because you have an established trust and rapport with them.
If you did the same approach with cold market or someone online, they would never join your business. Another great thing with building your business offline is that most of the time it’s free. You can prospect and recruit people when you are shopping, at a party, at the gym, almost anywhere.
Advantages of building your network marketing business online
One of the big advantages of building your business online is that you can start leveraging your prospecting efforts. Offline is great and you will use the same skill set and mindset while building online, however online does offer the opportunity to start attracting leads to you.
I believe that everyone should have a portion of what they do be actively prospecting and reaching out to new people, because you can control how fast that happens.
If you need to make money or build your business quickly, actively talking to people is the way to go. You can do this online almost any time of the day and much quicker than you could offline.
The downside is that there isn’t trust or rapport with these cold market prospects. You CAN be successful but often you will get more no’s.
There is a way though to start generating leads and attracting people to you online, which offline does seem to lack. When you create valuable content you can start to get leads and quality prospects interested in working with you, on top of the active prospecting you are doing.
In addition to that, your content can be working for you 24/7 and if you are busy it can start to leverage some of your time on the prospecting side of things. Making building your business online a great way for busy people to start getting some of their time back.
