Getting quality MLM leads for your business can be tough without the right MLM marketing strategy. In today’s post you’ll learn some of the most effective ways to get MLM leads and a simple MLM marketing strategy to grow your business.

Active prospecting as a way to find MLM leads and as a MLM marketing strategy

There are two sides of an effective MLM marketing strategy to generate MLM Leads. One is to actively prospect and the other is to create a MLM marketing system to generate leads for you.

Why active prospecting works is that you are in control of your own effort. Passive marketing to generate MLM leads is awesome, but it takes time to develop a lead generation system.

The key to active prospecting is learning how to invite effectively for your network marketing business. When you invite poorly don’t expect to have many quality MLM leads.

The downside of building your MLM business with active prospecting is that it takes a lot of time, and has no leverage. You can create leverage in an MLM business with a team of leaders who are active prospecting, but again that takes time to develop those leaders. So what are your other options?

Buying MLM leads the best MLM leads strategy?

Is buying MLM leads a good idea for your MLM marketing strategy? Certainly buying MLM leads is something people can do to grow their business, but you never really know how the company selling them is generating leads.

On top of that you might run into people who have been approached multiple times about various businesses, so with buying MLM leads, there isn’t much setting you apart from anyone else.

In addition to that, when you buy MLM leads you don’t have any way to re-market to them. It’s pretty much a one and done call and there’s no way to continue to build a relationship, which could eventually bring them into your business.

A much better MLM marketing strategy over buying MLM leads is to generate your own MLM leads with an effective MLM marketing system. In my experience, I’ve found that generating your own leads is the best MLM leads you can find and are much better than buying MLM leads.

Generate the best MLM leads with value-based content

Over my 13+ years in the network marketing and home business industry I’ve found that generating MLM leads yourself to be the best option. There are several reasons for this, but a major reason building an email list of MLM leads you generated is you own it.

When you own the list, you can re-market to them and continue to provide value to them on an ongoing basis. With this option, you can create value-based content that solves their biggest problems.

Doing this will help you build rapport, trust, and credibility. On top of that when the timing is right for them they will reach out to you vs someone else, because of the relationship you have built with them.

So generating your own MLM leads doesn’t need to be hard, you can simply create value-based content and after the content direct them to a lead magnet. A great place to put these lead magnets and content is on videos and using video marketing as a part of your MLM lead generation system.

Use Video Marketing to Generate MLM Leads As an effective MLM Marketing Strategy

Video marketing is a very effective way to generate MLM leads for several reasons and should 100% be a part of your MLM marketing strategy.

Why video marketing is so important? Well video marketing is one of the best ways to build trust, rapport, and credibility with your audience. On top of that, it can work for you on a 24/7 basis.

The downfall with active prospecting is you have to continually do it, while passive marketing can work for you around the clock, even while you sleep. Video marketing taps into this power of passive marketing.

I look at it like a little billboard advertising you mlm business on an ongoing basis. You create it once, but it continues to work with or without you forever. This is why you should implement video in your mlm marketing strategy to generate leads for your business.

How to generate mlm leads with video marketing

You may be wondering how do you actually generate MLM leads with video marketing. Thankfully there’s a specific structure you want to follow.  I first learned this video marketing format from Mark Harbert.

This video marketing structure works to generate leads for mlm, but also for any business you may be promoting. You want to break down your video structure into four segments.

The first is an intro.  In your intro simply say who you are. You can also mention your website or company you work with as well.  For example, I often say, ”Hey guys Mike from CoachMikeMacDonald.com here.”

You could also say something like, “Hey this is Mike from Minneapolis, Minnesota.” or even, “Hey this is Mike with XYZ company.” Preferably if you can name drop your website that tends to work well.

Ask a question to draw your viewer in

The next step is to pose some type of question to your viewer.  One strategy that works well is to ask them a question in relation to a pain point.

It might sound something like this if you market weight loss for example, “Do you spend hours in the gym every week but just can’t seem to get rid of that extra 10 pounds?”

Your video needs to start with some type of hook that draws your audience in.  Asking a pain point question is an effective way to do this.

You could also ask a question in a way that focuses on a goal or something your target market wants to achieve.  It doesn’t always have to be a pain point, but I found a pain point question typically works well.

Answer the question you posed

The next step is pretty simple you basically just answer her question that you posed to your viewer.  However, you hook to your audience into your video explain the solution to that pain point.

This becomes the bulk of the content for your video.  After you have fully answered the initial question you asked, you want to tell your audience to do something.

This is called a call to action in this is how you can start to generate MLM leads.  There are various forms of call to action you can use at the end of a video.

Common ones are things like asking for engagement like comments and likes and shares, or to subscribe to your YouTube channel. Say something like, “If you enjoyed this video be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for the latest tips and training to help you build a successful business.”

You can also direct your viewer to some sort of lead magnet or capture page where you can start to generate targeted MLM leads.

Follow this video marketing format and you will be generating MLM leads in no time!

Tools you need to generate Network Marketing Leads with your Internet Marketing Strategy

There are a few different tools you can implement with your internet marketing strategy to get leads for your business. The good news is, you don’t have to be super technical to use them, and most come with step by step instructions with how to use them.

One of the great mlm tools you’ll want to set up is a lead capture system. This will be a way to deliver your value-based content, while also getting a name, email, and phone number.

Again you’ll use lead magnets that your ideal target market wants in exchange for their information. Using this MLM lead generation strategy will help you get super targeted leads vs trying to pitch your mlm business to anyone and everyone.

Use an email autoresponder to re-market to and sell to your email leads

Another one of the MLM tools you’ll want to set up is an email autoresponder. You can also really use this tool for any home business or a traditional business, but it works very well with an MLM business.

This will help you generate mlm leads online on autopilot as well as help you build a list you own. Social media marketing is one great way to start building a following and list of people to talk to.  The downside as you don’t own it. this is why building that email list in your email autoresponder is so important.

It gives you a lot of options to bring in sales and sign ups for your MLM business long term.  It also gives you the option to re-market to this list. Understand that not everyone is going to buy from you the first time they get on your list.

People do business with dogs that they know, like and trust.  Often when someone initially joined your list they don’t have that relationship with you yet.  However, when someone joins our email list gets on your email autoresponder, you can continue to develop that relationship.

How to develop your relationship with your email list of MLM leads and convert them to sales and sign-ups

As you continue to put out value-based content this will establish that know, like, and trust relationship.  Moving forward when timing is right people on your email list will reach out to you end up buying your products in joining your team.
