MLM Recruiting Secrets: How To Invite Without Being Awkward

MLM recruiting doesn’t have to be difficult when you have the right MLM Training, and in this post, you’ll learn how to invite to your business presentation effectively.

MLM Recruiting secret #1 Be in a hurry

One of the top MLM recruiting secrets is that you need to avoid explaining everything before the actual presentation. The first step of your MLM training needs to be how to invite to your business presentation because, without it, nothing else happens.

All to often people who start a new mlm business get sucked into presentation mode when they should be in inviting mode. Think of inviting for your business like a movie preview.

A movie preview doesn’t go through everything, it just goes through a tiny bit of detail, which gets you to go see the movie. That’s exactly how your MLM invite needs to be. If it isn’t, people won’t “go see the movie” or look at your MLM business.

This is why being in a hurry or being busy is important. You could say things like, “Hey listen I don’t have a lot of time right now.” or “I’m slammed at work so I only have a second…” or “I’ve just got a second as I’m about to head into a meeting.”

The purpose of this isn’t to be misleading in any way, but so that you can get your prospect to see your business for what it really is. To see the movie.

Being busy and in a hurry keeps them from getting into question-answer mode and keep you from explaining too much and “ruining the movie”

MLM Recruiting secret #2: Clear the time

The second step for recruiting in MLM is to clear the time when you are going to show your MLM business. You only play to win while you are recruiting for MLM, but most people play when they are losing.

What this means is that if you don’t start in a hurry and then clear the time, you could get sucked into Q and A mode. This is the last thing you want.

Obviously it’s not because you don’t want to answer their questions, but because you want your prospects to see your MLM business opportunity for what it really is. When you get into Q and A mode, you get into explaining mode and end up doing a bad job of it.

Even as a MLM recruiting veteran, you still want to avoid explaining mode. For this reason, you always need to clear the time when inviting to your MLM business opportunity.

This keeps you in control and helps you share your business for what it really is. You can do this by saying something like, “Real quick, I don’t have a lot of time right now, but when do you have 30 minutes you can get in front of a computer in the next 24 hours?

You could also throw a specific time out as well, something like, “I’m super slammed at work, so I only have a minute, but what are you doing tonight at 7?”

If they are free, you invite to your MLM business presentation, if they aren’t you say something like, “no worries, I’ll catch you another time. Gotta get back to work!”

How to invite for your MLM business opportunity step 3: Get Excited

Enthusiasm is contagious as they say, and it is definitely the case while recruiting in MLM. If you don’t have excitement you’ll have a tough time inviting to your business presentation.

So now that you have cleared the time you want to create some curiosity and invite them to something. This could be a coffee presentation, inviting them to a live event, even sharing a video online, whatever tools you have available with your MLM business.

A great MLM script for this could be something like, “Hey Bob, real quick as I’m just about to step into a meeting, but what are you doing tonight at 7? (Nothing what’s up?) Awesome I’ve got something you gotta see! I’m working on a new project and I thought of you, I’d love to get your opinion on it. I’ll pop by quick after work. See you at 7 then!”

Step 4 of the best MLM script for MLM recruiting is to confirm the time

The last secret for recruiting for MLM is pretty simple and that’s just to confirm the time. If you’ve followed the other steps for the MLM script above this is just confirming the appointment.

If they are meeting you, vs you going to them you can also use the MLM script of, “I’ll see you tonight! Like I said this is super important to me and since you are one of my closest friends I came to you first. I can count on you to be there right?”

Maybe you are having a home party? You can ask your guests to bring something. This can help solidify that they do for sure show-up. Obviously don’t make it something super expensive. Something simple like a bag of chips, or salsa, or a bag of ice.

If people have a job to do or something to bring, they will be more likely to show up as well. Of course, the best way to confirm they show up is to pick them up, or best of all go to them.

You could even use the simple MLM script of, “I’m coming over.” Obviously this only works with your close contacts, but that’s who you should be starting with anyway.

The mindset you need to succeed in MLM recruiting

Now one of the biggest things you need to have correct when it comes to MLM recruiting is your mindset.  Most people have the wrong mindset and they come from a desperate place when they are recruiting for their business.

Ideally, you want to have the mindset of some will some won’t so what next.  basically this means that you’re not looking for everybody just the right ones.  certainly, it would be great if everyone signed up for your business but in reality, it’s just not going to happen.

so understanding that can really help you take some of the pressure off and frustration of recruiting for your MLM.  recruiting is a numbers game like anything else and having that mindset can help you get through the numbers necessary to succeed.

Again your job is just to share your business not to convince people to join.  so following the inviting process above is just a simple way to get people in front of the information and then you can help them make a decision from there.

Your job is just to expose your business for what it really is and so the inviting process is really the foundation to building your MLM business.

Other effective MLM scripts for recruiting

Again your job is just to see if people are open to checking out your business and then leaving them to the information from there.  So there’s a variety of ways to do this especially if they’re not your hot market.

One key foundation is to find some type of problem your potential customer, or potential business partner, has and then use your business as the solution.  When you find specific pain points, it’s so much easier to invite people to see your business presentation.

Asking more probing questions is the key to doing this.  Throughout your conversation you might gather information like them being frustrated at their job,  not seeing their kids enough, not making enough money, worrying about retirement, and more.

When you know this information, it’s much easier to transition into your business without being awkward or pushy.  A great transition is “I couldn’t help but overhear (insert problem). Well if I could show you a way to (solve that problem) would you be open to checking it out?”

It might go something like, “I couldn’t help but overhear when we were talking yesterday it sounds like you’d like to be able to spend more time with your kids.  I’m just curious if I could show you a way to do that, without having to quit your job, would you be open to checking it out?”

Using the opinion MLM script for recruiting in MLM

Another great invite and MLM script you can use for MLM recruiting is asking for someone’s opinion.  This is great because you can actually also boost someone’s ego along with this invite to get even better results.

Again, your job is just to get people to see your business for what it really is, so this MLM script is simply asking people for their opinion. This MLM script works very well, especially if someone is more successful than you.

I know I use this often when I first joined the industry because I was a broke college student working in fast-food.  I didn’t have a ton of credibility or business experience so this invite worked very well.

The idea is you ask someone for their opinion on a project you’re working on.  You can include things like, “You’ve always thought that they were one of the most successful people you know.”  or things like,  “You’ve always respected their opinion on things.” or things like, “You’re one of the most business-minded people I know.”

Obviously be genuine when you invite people to look at your business in this fashion, but a genuine compliment never hurts anyone.

From there you can simply transition to something like, “I’m working on a new project and I’m really excited about it, and based on your experience, and how successful you’ve been in other areas, I’d really love to get your opinion on it.”

People love to have a feeling of importance in using the opinion  MLM script to invite can help create this feeling with your prospects.

Similar to the opinion invite for MLM recruiting is the “I’m working on a new project”

I’m working on a new project and I thought of you, is one of the best invites, and I use it often when speaking to warm market or acquaintances.

A great thing with this invite is there zero friction with it.  That’s another principle you need to have when you’re recruiting for MLM and your business. You don’t want to create friction.

So this invite goes something like, “I’m working on a new project and I thought of you. Would you be open to something extra if it didn’t interfere with what you have going on?”

There’s a lot of varieties of how you can phrase this invite but just understand the principle of “I’m working on a new project and I thought of you”

This is the key to the foundation of this invite.  You can use this of people you haven’t talked to you for a while, or people that you see all the time.

Example of the I’m working on a new project invite

For example, if you’re talking to someone you haven’t talked to in a while you could say something like,

“Hey Bob I know we haven’t talked for a while, but I always remember when we used to work together you are one of the most positive motivated people I worked with.  I don’t know what you’re up to these days, but I’m working on a new project and I thought of you. It may or may not be for you, but I’m just curious if you’re so focused on what you’re doing now that you can’t look at anything else, or if you might be open to something extra at this point?”

I have used this MLM script and invite hundreds, if not thousands of times, and it’s led to hundreds of presentations and signups for my business over the years.

It’s a person isn’t warm market or close enough to do the four-step invite I went through above, I highly suggest this invite and MLM script.
