3 Pillars of Belief You Need for Success in Network Marketing

Success in network marketing all begins with belief. If you believe you can you will if you believe you can’t you won’t. Success in network marketing comes down to 3 key kinds of belief. In this post, you’ll learn the essential mindset to succeed in network marketing and how to develop it.

1. Belief in the product

There are 3 major pillars of belief for success in network marketing and the first one is belief in the product. Many times I see people struggling because they have no belief in their products and have never even used them.

Without a solid product testimony, it will be hard to have confidence in your product. Now, this doesn’t mean you have to have amazing life-changing results with the product, but you still need to be moving in the right direction.

It’s unfortunate, but I can’t count the number of people I’ve seen who market and sell weight-loss products that don’t represent what they sell. People who have been with their companies for years, but are still struggling with weight issues. Some of them haven’t made the slightest progress towards their weight-loss goals.

Situations like this simply send the wrong messages to your prospects. Imagine if you were in the car business and sold Ford cars and talked about every day to your prospects how great their cars were and they should buy one. Then at the end of the day, you drive off the lot in a Toyota.

It’s very incongruent and you lose all credibility. So whatever company you are in, make sure you use the products and develop that product belief if you want to create a successful business in network marketing.

Interview others who have had success with the product

Having your own product testimony is key, but if you are just getting started you can use other’s testimonials to help grow your business. This is also beneficial because your story may not relate to every person you share your products with.

Gather as many testimonies as you can because you then have more options to cater a story to each individual person. For example, maybe you had a friend who was a busy mom that used your products and got great results. If you didn’t have kids, this would open up a whole new potential market you could promote your business to.

Maybe you have a wide variety of products you sell. You might sell travel, but obviously you can’t go to every country or take every trip there is, but other people may have gone on trips you haven’t. You could use their story while talking to people who wanted to visit those places.

The more great stories you have the more your belief will increase towards your network marketing products.

2. Belief in the company and network marketing industry

Often times when people get into a network marketing company they know nothing about the company leadership. They don’t do any research on finding out about the company and owners.

So for example maybe their negative friend says it won’t work or it’s a scam etc. they lose all confidence and quit. Well, I would suggest learning the facts of your business first to prepare yourself for negativity.

That way when you encounter negative people it won’t take you off track. For example, find out things like if your business does millions in sales every year, or has won awards, or has been featured in magazines, etc.

If you know these things and one of your prospects is negative it won’t keep you from reaching your goals based on their ignorance. A great way to build this belief is to go to your company’s major events and meet the owners and leadership.

Most companies do tours of their corporate headquarters and give you a chance to see that as well. When you know the people running the company and calling the shots as well as the success record your company already has, it will enhance your belief and keep you on track for building your business.

Meet top network marketing leaders in the field to enhance your belief in your company and industry

Another thing you can do to enhance your belief in your network marketing company and industry is meeting top leaders. When you meet the other top leaders and hear their story it can instill the belief that you can succeed as well.

Many top leaders in the network marketing industry may have had a harder time getting their business rolling that you are having. Often you’ll meet people coming from a worse background, with more obstacles that they had to overcome that you as well.

These leaders just become a living testament that if they can do it, you can do it. You don’t just have to limit yourself to meeting leaders from your own company either.

There are plenty of network marketing events and groups where you can mix and mingle with other leaders in the industry. This can help you not only increase your belief in yourself but also the industry as a whole.

A lot of people see the potential in building a network marketing business, but still have hesitations about the industry. Meeting top leaders in your own company is also key because it can show you that people are succeeding at a high level in your specific business as well.

You also have the advantage of learning what they did to create success in your specific system.

Read network marketing books to grow your belief in the network marketing industry

Personal development is an essential part of succeeding at a high level in network marketing. In addition to that, you should spend some of your personal development time focused on learning about industry-specific things.

The good news is there is a lot of network marketing specific books to help you improve your skills. Reading books from other top leaders can help you cut through your learning curve and skyrocket your belief.

It’s one thing to use personal development to grow your leadership skills and sales skills, but mastering the industry itself will be highly beneficial. A few books you should check out are: Go Pro by Eric Worre, all of the books from Tom “Big Al” Schreiter, and Building an Empire by Brian Carruthers, are some of my favorites.

All of the above network marketing books apply for any company and aren’t company-specific so you could even promote them to your team members as well. Another great book to check out is Your Frist Year in Network Marketing by Mark Yarnell. I highly recommend this book because it can help you set proper expectations in your first year of network marketing. It helps you to understand that building a network marketing business is a process and takes going through a learning curve.

3. Belief in yourself

Many people have self-limiting beliefs and that is one key reason for them not getting the success they should be. Where should you start to work on and develop this belief?

Well, personal development and personal growth are key. The more you work on yourself and your skills the more confidence you will develop with the fact that you know you are more equipped for creating success.

Also, another place to develop this pillar of belief for success in network marketing is through going to the events. When you go to events and see others just like you succeeding you start to develop the belief that if they can do it so can you. The more you get around people winning the better.

Get the right tools to grow your network marketing business to increase your belief

Could you imagine trying to build a house with just a hammer? It might be possible, but it could take forever. The same thing goes for building a network marketing business.

Without the right marketing tools for network marketing, you can grow your business, but it could take a lot longer. That’s why having the right tools to properly build your network marketing business can help increase your belief that you can succeed.

Unfortunately, most people skip this part because they want to wait until they are successful before they invest in tools. This is actually backward-thinking because you will end up wasting more time and money trying to build without the right tools.

When you have the right marketing tools in place like an email autoresponder, and a sales funnel system, you can actually get results faster and maximize your time. There are two aspects of building your network marketing business. Active prospecting, and passive marketing.

If you want to eventually replace active prospecting with passive marketing, you’ll need the right tools in place. Nothing can help build belief in yourself and that you will succeed like having leads coming in daily for your business.

Most people start with their warm market in network marketing, and people they know. This is a great place to start, but once you go through that list if you don’t have anyone to talk to most people quit.

Generate your own leads for success in network marketing

This leads to the need to generate your own leads for network marketing and the tools mentioned above. If you have a steady stream of leads for your business and an unlimited number of people to talk to, it’s only a matter of putting in the work to succeed.

The key to this is developing a lead magnet for network marketing that people actually want. A lead magnet is something you give away for free in exchange for their name, email, and phone number.

You should ideally have a lead magnet for product users and business builders. You need to make sure that what you give away is congruent with your final offer of business or product.

For example, if you sold weightloss you could give away a meal plan guide and sell your products on the back end. If you wanted business builders you could give away guides to building a following on social media.
